As I posted in the creepy thread recently...
One of my youngest nephews (about 5 years old) was staring off into space in his parent's lving room one evening recently. My brother and SIL asked him what he was looking at. He turned and said the nickname of our deceased grandmother. He had never heard this nickname spoken around him before. She died before he was born. |

When he was three my son said a few spooky things the standouts are:
"Something is coming...something is here" He said this when just he and I were in the room. He said he could see "it" up in the corner of the room near the ceiling. "I really don't like the little gray people" |

No kids, but I've seen this one on various sites a few times:
"Before I was born here, I had a sister, right? Her and my other Mom are so old now. They were ok when the car was on fire, but I sure wasn't!" He was maybe 5 or 6 years old? It was totally out of the blue.. |

Took the family to SeaWorld. Wife was 6 months pregnant, so when we were ready to go, I leave her with the 2 older kids near the gate, and take the youngest (2yo Jacob) with me to get the truck and drive up to pick everyone up.
Get to the truck in the middle of the parking lot (after dark, alone, etc) Jacob notifies me he needs a new diaper. Hop in the middle row of the excursion and start to change him. As he's laying on his back with no pants, he looks at me and says "daddy, I'm not scared". I say, ”good", and continue diaper duty. He repeats himself, and again, I offer positive reinforcement. A third time, he tells me he's not scared, and this time, I ask him what he's not scared of. He lays there quietly, never breaking eye contact, then tells me he's not afraid of the ghost. Then I had to explain why I didn't take the time to put a new diaper on him before I picked up the rest of the family... |

My friend's son is three and we taught him a joke. My friend will ask him questions and the boy will answer. The joke is:
Friend: what does the dog say? Son: woof! Friend: what does the cow say? Son: moo! Friend: and what does the HOUSE say? Son: (in creepy whisper voice) GEEEEEEEEET OUUUUUUUUUUUT. What makes it great is the kid sells it so well. I imagine my friend will be answering questions from CPS at some point... |

There was one time several years ago when my wife (don't even bother quoting the rule because I'm not posting pics of her) and I were driving with our 4 yo daughter in the car. It was a fairly remote area and there was a highway bridge that crossed over a ravine... from the back seat we hear "Oh, this looks like where I died!" Apparently she was in a vehicle that drove off a bridge and crashed in a ravine and died.
Further questions from us brought little information. There was one other time when my daughter was like 5 or so and she told a story about mexico, a stop sign, a drug deal, some guy named David and a shooting. Further questioning didn't shed any light on the subject... from what she said it sounded like she was shot and killed by some guy named Steven in Mexico. It kind of made me a believer in reincarnation... or that there might be something going on that we don't understand or can't see... or maybe it's crap. |

Reminds me of those two sentence creepy stories:
I begin tucking him into bed and he tells me, “Daddy check for monsters under my bed.” I look underneath for his amusement and see him, another him, under the bed, staring back at me quivering and whispering, “Daddy there’s somebody on my bed.” |

| Can't think of any specifics right now, but my 4 yo just seems entirely too comfortable with the whole concept of pain and death. My 7 yo has never been like that and just thinking about someone getting hurt or dying is enough to make him tear up and get quiet. Like I said, I can't think of any specifics but the 4yo has made some statements and asked some questions that have made both me and my wife go ??? |

Earlier this week, we mentioned a favorite cousin to our 2 year old daughter. The two played together a lot, and were close. Our daughter says this: Daughter: "I'm not going to play with xxxx anymore." Me: Why? Daughter: "She's crying at her daddy's house. She's sick and not feeling any better. She's covered up on the floor." Her cousin was found on the 8th, along with the uncle. Cousin had drowned in the bathtub, uncle was dead on his bead (suspected heart attack, we haven't seen the autopsy/tox reports yet). Our daughter was with us the 2 days we were with family, at my parent's house. It's entirely possible she knew what was going on. Perhaps she just pieced together bits of information that we don't remember saying. Her behaviors/mannerisms/sleep pattern/waking up in the night screaming have been markedly different, since the day her cousin died as well. I remember thinking how odd it was that she work up screaming that first night. Very unusual for her. The next day we found out what had happened. Probably just our human mind trying to connect pieces to complete a puzzle, but still odd. |
| About 20 years ago I noticed the little boy next door who was probably about 5 at the time sitting in the backyard all by himself, playing in the grass and talking to no one. I asked him who he was talking to and he told me "Jesus". Not that this is creepy but his parents were basically athiests and had nothing to do with religion. |
