I'll start:
1) A Devo concert. The word "bizarre" does not even begin to describe it. In my defense - I went as a guest. It smelled like an amyl nitrate factory (and I had no idea what that was). |

Driving to work one morning.
A man in a matching sweatsuit, on crutches with both feet in casts, moving down the sidewalk as fast as possible in a panic because... There was a grey squirrel following him down the sidewalk. This man was in absolute terror like a pitbull/gorilla mix with AIDS wanted his butthole. |

Early 80's and high on mescaline ( out of my mind actually) grabbed a taxi in NYC and suddenly panicked thinking I was in the back of a cop car.
then getting to Grand Central Station when I peaked, It was winter time so it was full of NY's homeless..... I was freaking out but I guess I fit right in. Worst part was finally locating my track on the big board, only to have it "melt" and completely change the order of listings. I made it home though. I could clearly see the footprints of every traveler that had been to grand central in the marble floor. did I mention how high I was? That was a fucked up night. |
| Metal detecting in the woods in late fall. All the trees had shed their leaves but one. There was one tree with all of its leaves, all still green too. I was with my friend and remarked about the tree. We stood there kind of in awe when suddenly it started dropping its leaves. It was literally just raining leaves. We watched this tree rain leaves continuously for at leadt 15 minutes and the tree still looked exactly as it had. It was like the leaves were just falling out of thin air underneath the tree. We moved on and about an hour later, on our way out, we passed the tree and it was still raining leaves at the same rate. It was bizarre. |

The fucking difference being one county inland from the ocean in the state of California makes in every way imaginable. I once drove, in an hour span, from Concord to San Francisco on a summer day. It was 108 on the highway in Concord. I get into San Francisco, and it was 58. Like 25-30 miles I'm guessing? Fun stuff. |

TIRED AS FUCK, sitting at the front of an Italian coastal patrol boat, my Team Leader kinda rubs his eyes and tells me that he just saw a bird fly into the water and it didn't come out
He sounded concerned. "Sir, that was a flying fish" "No fucking way, those don't exist. I'm gonna go save that bird" then he proceeds to try and doff his assault vest and climb overboard. "SIR, I'm fairly-fucking-certain that was a flying fish. For the love of all that's holy do not try to save a fucking fish." "Oh... OK" "Just watch the dolphins Sir. C'mere and just watch the fucking dolphins. I don't need an SIR on my team leader Sir" The poor dude was hallucinating |
| As someone already posted, sleep paralysis. I've experienced it 3 times since 2013, and some nights I'm almost terrified to fall asleep because of it. It happened once when I was in my bed, my eyes were closed and I couldn't open them, but it felt like 2 people were fondling the inside of my bicep and then my stomach. That has to be the most terrifying experience of my life. When I snapped out of it I was damn near screaming giving out a half assed yell about as loud as a yawn, but was all that I had in me. |

Got paired with two old assholes in a round of golf. Most of the round sucked. Zero golf etiquette from either guy.
We are on the back nine and they are both hitting lob shots at the same time on opposite sides of this big green. Both balls collide with each other in midair. A bizarre end to a sucky day. |
| I was on Mt. Adams and I woke up in the middle of the night. I was totally confused and thought it was daytime for a bit. I could see everything clearly because it was so bright. There was a solid layer of white clouds beneath me. Mt St Helens and Mt Hood were the only other islands sticking up though a sea of clouds. And the moon. It was HUGE. |

About ten years ago.
Driving through a very rural part of northwest Ohio, near Indiana, on a warm summer afternoon. Not on a major highway. Proceeding along on a secondary highway of limited usage. Pass by a vacant building that appears to have fallen into disuse - tall weeds growing up through cracks in the parking lot. Looked like it might have been a school at one time, no idea. And what do I see in this parking lot? I see about twenty middle aged men, standing there in kind of a military formation, all of them topless. And all of them are holding...tubas. Yes, tubas. I have no fucking idea what that was all about, but it was kinda creepy!

I lived in a trailer for 9 months when I first got together with my future wife. Every once in a while we would hear a small child running happily along on the roof. You could hear little footsteps just like a normal toddler.
There was no way for anyone to get up there. No climable trees or parts of the trailer. |

"dancing" green lights fading in and out of sight. I can not explain what they were. |

My brother and I would find new fishing spots along the Florida rivers...once around 1980 we went way up the south fork of the Alafia river...had to work or way in and in a depressed area about the size of a regular garage we were in the middle of a least at 100 baby 12 inch alligators...wow we thought...then it hit us...mom...we un assed that spot . Was pretty stange
pretty much stick to the bay now and never leave the boat unless I beach it. |

Years ago me and a friend were fishing on a creek.
A huge Magnolia tree on the bank of the creek started to fall just as we were approaching it as we drifted down the creek. As it was falling there were large vines growing in it that were holding the top of the tree back bending and snapping large limbs. The weird thing was that we didn't realize at first that it was falling. It looked like some huge "something" out in the woods was pulling those vines so hard that it was bending the thee and its limbs. For a couple seconds we were sitting there in trying to figure what in the hell was happening. Then we realized the tree was going to fall across the creek very near us so we started back paddling as fast as we could. It was a very strange illusion that really freaked us out for a couple seconds. |

Back in '82 or '83(?) I was on my way (With an E-6 friend) to Gowen Field for some TDY on M60's.
We were driving through Idaho at night when we saw this weird green light illuminate the sky. We pulled over to see it better. Out in the middle of nowhere we watched this this thing travel across the sky. It was burning with green flame and had a tail on it that seemed to go from horizon to horizon. It was totally silent and pretty much the most beautiful (And "Weird") thing I ever saw. We found out a couple of days later that it was a Soviet satellite burning in. It really WAS gorgeous. |

A head-on collision between two bicycles, leaving one rider unconscious and the other gasping for air while holding his windpipe.
It was right at dusk, and both were headed downhill to the bottom of a slight dip in the road, from opposite directions. I saw the rider that was going with the flow of traffic suddenly tip over and hit the ground hard, and thought he had been hit by a car. A few of us stopped to assist, and found the two bikes tangled together, with the other rider gasping for air after getting hit in the chest or neck by the handlebars. The one on the ground was out cold, still tangled up in his bike. It's still one of the most bizarre traffic accidents I've seen to this day. |

We had just moved into a new house when I was 15. My brother and I walked in to the living room and both stopped for no reason and looked at each other. At the exact same time the couch kind of shifted an inch, or so like if it accidentally got walked into.
We both looked over and the freaking remote control shot off the couch in a straight line and broke a pile of decorations my mom had laid out that she was going to put up. She about murdered us lol. And we had no way to get her to believe what we saw. Still to this day one of the most unexplainable things I've ever saw happen. |

not really strange, but pretty darn cool.
was flying VFR on top, at night from Fullerton CA to Scottsdale AZ. Full moon, solid layer of clouds below me. In the distance, I saw a flight of helicopters slowly climb straight out of the clouds to be on top. Looked like about 6 or so Blackhawks. Was very surreal and cool. Wish I had had a camera with me. IIRC, was just after I cleared the Banning pass. |
