Curious; age and what bone(s).
Feel free to elaborate on how it happened. |
Does a stress fracture count? If so, 38. Too much running.
If not, broken jaw at 20. |

Collar bone, motorcycle and pavement. Ended up with a metal plate |
57, hip, went over one more jump than than the horse did.

Me, never broke a bone.
My mom broke her arm last year at 71. Clean break healed up fine. |
36. Slip and fall accident at work. Broke my right humerus. Took three surgeries, nearly three years, and kicking the resultant addiction to Vicodin to put it right.
40. Drove my femur into my tibia.
acl and meniscus damage. broke my ankle in three places. Broken teeth. KTM 525 is no joke. I still ride. Surgeon wasn't happy. Id rather have ortho surgery than cardiovascular surgery. Braaapppp. Eta. No pain meds. I Barf. |
11 or 12. Technically wasn't a bone. Father punched me in the face and broke my nose.
54 and never so far.
I have been fortunate with 30 years of motorcycle riding and paintball playing. |
Fractured a femur when I was 50 cutting up a tree that had fallen in the back area of my property.
Cost me $1K for the tree company to come complete the job. |

Actual break. I was in my late 20 early 30's. It was winter and I went out the back door slipped on the steps and hit the corner of each step, 4 total on my tailbone and broke my tail bone.
Last year I trip on a 1 " curb and landed on my side and crack a rib on my right side. I could feel my ribs compress as my weight fell on them. I was 63 last year. |
The oldest I've been is my current age. But by the time I post this, I will have surpassed that.
Shattered tibial plateau and Lisfranc fracture (same leg) at . . . IIRC, 46-ish? No displacement on any of it (lucky!!!), but I couldn't bear weight for 3 months and it was 2 years before I was walking "normally". |
Do teeth count?
I have not (to my knowledge) broken a bone. My problem seems to be ligaments / tendons. But I was 46 when I broke a molar off below the gum line. |
52. First time I ever broke one too. Ankle. I slipped on wet grass going down a hill.
47 with a tibia plateau break. It happened last Halloween. Not walking good yet. ??
I broke my first bone last year and I'm in my 30's.
Harley police bike fell on my foot and crushed it in 4 spots. |

2nd metatarsal bone in my left foot I broke it 3 months ago and it still isn't completely healed. |
I was 53 when I had a ladder accident and broke my left ankle
46, My son and I was racing down a bike path I look down at my speedometer saw 26mph looked up and the dipshit looked back at me and swerved the direction he was looking and clipped my front wheel. Needless to say I went down and woke up in the back of an ambulance. Broke my collarbone in 2 different sections and my shoulder blade with a concussion to top it off. My shoulder still isn't the same as before the wreck.
38, broke my ankle in two places. Stepped into a hole in the dark and rolled my ankle. Bottle of whiskey got me through the night in the middle of the woods.
15, broke my arm two weeks after getting my cast off the opposite arm for breaking my thumb/hand. Took my driving test in a cast at 16... |
51 Broken hip skiing
45-50 Fingers, arm, collarbone Horse accidents from roping steers or breaking horses. Can't remember the ages of broken bones before that. |
36 or 37 broke a few ribs skiing, well hitting a tree. jive broken fingers and probably a toe since but i dont count those
45, multiple bones in right hand, breaking down a door. Lots of injuries but no broken bones since then.
I think I was 25-26 the last time I broke a bone. Left index finger tip found itself between a floorboard and a high velocity hammer.
44. Car accident shattered my right ankle (had to take some bone from my right iliac crest as well as 13 pins and a plate to repair) and smashed my left femur (eventually had to remove half the condylar head, 4 pins and a wire).
45. High sided off my motorcycle and slid face first on the asphalt street. While I was sliding, heading for the guard rail, my gigantic motorcycle ran my leg over.
Broke six bones in my foot. Fucked up my knee. Chain can openered the back of my leg. Not my best day. I did miss the guardrail. So there's that. |
