And here we go! It's legal as a pistol lower b/c it was never assembled as a rifle or shotgun. You can buy an number of new fully assembled AR lowers, remove the carbine stock, and throw on a sub 16" bbl upper. Voila! Legal AR pistol. I ordered 2 of the .223" uppers. If they have rusty bores, they'll go back. I bought my 5.7x28mm upper off Classic and have been quite happy w/ it. |

Can someone confirm the length of pull on these?
How much can they be cut down? What is involved in cutting them down? Does the buttplate need to be ground down? Is there still something left to screw the buttplate to, or do you have to come up with some sort of fix? Thanks |

Beyond, if you're making a .22" LR or you're using an ARAK or other non-buffered upper. Dremel, chop saw, hacksaw, hotwire knife, a really long time w/ sandpaper, what have you. No, buttplate unscrews. Two separate sizes of hex nuts. 
No, there are steel screw threads embedded in the rear of the stock which you've just cut off, and you'll have to cut the buttplate down to fit the smaller butt once you cut the stock down, so you'll probably need to glue it unless you're making a pistol, see above. |

Quite welcome. When Andersons got down to $30, I wondered how he was gonna sell em. 5x for $100 w/ free shipping is a pretty good answer, I think.
I wish I was gonna be there Saturday, but I'll have to drown my sorrows in Tulsa w/ 40xb. Going to the museum Friday.
