Entry 2 for the day,
My little dog got so excited that it was warming up outside, and it isn't icy as fuck getting to the backyard, that he was hauling ass to get to the back yard. Then he hit the yard, and it's a fucking mudpit. He stopped like he'd just stepped in quicksand, looks back at me with the saddest look in his eyes. I took him to the leaf pile I made for him specifically for melt off time, and he was happy as shit playing in the leaves. When my dogs are happy, I'm happy. 
ETA: Checked into this thread about a month after this post. Brought a huge smile to my face reading it again, because about 2 and a half weeks after I made this post, I woke up and Buster had passed away curled up sleeping with me like he always did. RIP Buster.
