Someone is going to have to school me on this whole "phosphate" thing....
|

Basically, just a fancy word for Parkerizing.
Used on steel parts for corrosion resistance - The aluminum parts are usually hard-anodized instead. |
|
Well, needs a rear sight and you’re done.
Wish it came with anything other than the blade! |

I ordered that kit last week.
Should be here Monday. I already have an old chopped carry handle that's been in my parts bin for about 20 years. If you'd told me back then that some day I could build any AR for under $400 I wouldn't have believed it. |

View Quote Got a PSA $40 lower at the store waiting on me, I will pick it up next week and hopefully shoot it next weekend. Edit - the description of the one I ordered did say phosphate coated barrel. |

Someone is going to have to school me on this whole "phosphate" thing.... This isn't the worst thing in the World. RRA barrels are unlined and many of those are holding up just fine after tens of thousands of rounds. However, if you are asking yourself how PSA can offer this package so cheap, this is part of your answer. I am sure this barrel will serve most people just fine. However, if you have your heart set on being "mil-spec" (chrome-lined) or having the wear resistance of Melonite/nitride treatment inside and out then this may not be the barrel you are looking for. |

Ordered
It will end up just under the 26" line, so it can be registered as a pistol here in Michigan. That's 2 kits from PSA in under a week. PSA strikes again! |

Has anyone replaced the set screw on the shockwave with something more like a wingnut so you can move it in an our without a tool?
|
|
PSA and Amazon get the dumbest questions.
Are people really that stupid? |
|
I fent. Got that and a 20" A2 setup. Was not playing on spending that much first thing but salad days.
|
|
I wish i’d waited until now to buy AR parts. I thought I had been buying cheap and stacking deep.
Can PSA go sun $200 on kits now? |
|
|
Dont know how other manufacturers stay in buisness with psa pricing?
Out of everyone i know that uses psa, have only seen one issue, and it was a trigger pin that kept backing out. They shoot wolf, and tula with zero issue, unlike some other manufacturers. Great product |
|
So that short a barrel with a 1/7 twist would be worthless for a .22 LR build, right?
Right guys? Please give me a reason not to jump on this... |

Wow, and to think I just spent double that for a stripped LMT 10.5" upper
|

Got mine like 3 weeks ago, same price. I showed my dad and he ordered one 2 weeks ago, his first PSA order.
Edit: I haven't shot mine much but so far 100 rounds no issues. |

The OP discovering the Labor Day sale threads in a month or so will be entertaining.

I picked up one of these in black a couple weeks ago. Good kit. If they keep offering them I'll probably buy another. I just can't seem to help myself

Damn that's tempting. Don't really need any more pistols. Already have two lowers laying around with kits.
What's the best bang for your buck on a PSS complete mid length upper? |
|
I clicked place order and at the exact time a text came in from my wife. About something else, sure, but I don't believe in coincidences.
Damn you OP. |
|
I ordered one last week that will be here Tuesday.
Mine will have the gray furniture and is nitride...whatever that means. |
|
Thanks for the link OP
I was cleaning out my truck and found a Anderson lower I forgot I bought, now I know what to do with it! |
|
The Blade may not be the best looking but it works great on my 10.5" nitride
Throw on a red dot of your choice and you got a sweet truck gun that you can beat the shit out of and goes bang every time |
