Quoted: Better day today, went 4x25 in the morning and added another 2x25 this evening for a total of 150 today. I’ve been resting weekends, so I’m gonna make it a priority to get back over 200 tomorrow. MTD- 2770 YTD- 5040 Wanted to finish this week on a high note and decided to see how many sets of 30 I could knock out today. Started out with one and felt good, so snagged another set of 30, followed by another. By the time I finished this morning’s session I called it good with 5x30. Tossed in another 4x25 this evening for a daily total of 250. MTD- 3020 YTD- 5290 Feeling accomplished with those sets of 30, definitely looking forward to a couple days off. |

Quoted: Oh man, you're making me sound way cooler than I am, but hey, I'll take it! Sometimes I think we're (conservatives) too humble and honest for our own good. And good on you too! Just did 4 25s tonight along with 75 rollouts, and a few sets of 52#KB Rows, presses and goblet squats. Also a good morning of DH 100 today 235/week 4875/Year 231 tonight, mostly sets of 20 466/Week 5106/Year |
Started today with 175 reps before the sun came up. Came home from work and did a few more sets before dinner. Then, after dinner, my daughter and wife were in bed by 8pm, and for the last 2-1/2 hours I've been doing pushups ![]() I am honestly scared to see how sore I am in the morning...finished up the day with a new PB....1015 reps for 2/23. Sitting at 17,805 YTD On 1/1 I was able to do three sets for a total of 75 reps. The next morning I was so sore I could only do 11 pushups. Since then, I've taken only 1 day off....and today, hit an elusive target that I honestly still cant really wrap my mind around. Honestly...its you guys that make me keep coming back to this thread day after day. Each day we get stronger, and do more, and push further....and its pretty amazing. In many ways this thread is changing my life. Last year, a typical Friday night for me would have been eating half a pizza and drinking 10 oz of bourbon. Tonight, I had a salad, drank a ton of water, and cranked out a thousand pushups, and some dumbbell curls. Tomorrow I expect it to be around 25 degrees when i wake up....and ill be throwing on the ruck first thing and going for a walk before the sun comes up. Thats enough for tonight. Time for some more water and some rest. |

I was gonna take a rest day today, but then it was a pretty bad day, so I knocked out 400 pushups to feel better. 40x8, 30, 25, 25. Those last ones were tough. 6,000 ytd |

Way to make something positive out of a bad day. I can definitely relate to the last ones being tough...my last three sets tonight were some of the hardest I've ever done. I could reel the flex in my chest on those last reps. |

Quoted: You are sick...and still cranked out pushups. These are the kind of efforts that remind me just how committed some men are...and that sir, is inspiring. It is really easy to come up with excuses to not do the things that are hard. And yet, some men simply look forward and persevere. I woke up sore, dehydrated, and congested. And now, after reading your post, I'm going to do some pushups. Quoted: Quoted: Ok, back at it tonight. Fighting a nasty cold, head was throbbing for a few days. Think its waning now. I am fairly fit, not overweight, just really out of practice with a hectic work schedule. No excuses for me, I am in for at least 100 a week. Starting slow and will build up with in goal of gradually working up to 500 a week. Thanks for the thread and inspiration gents. |

Time for some more water and some rest. AMAZING. 1000 rep days are one of those milestone moments we have. When I was early in my journey with this training, I'd look at doing a 1000 rep day every 19,000 reps. A sort of right of passage. Sometimes I'd start and workout throughout the day. Other times I'd block out 4-5 hours and see how long it took. Over the course of several months, I'd shave hours off the previous time. My fastest to 1000 was 59:40. Keep doing the amazing work macro. And well done man. |

Quoted: That’s awesome. I’m getting my girlfriend to do pushups with me now, usually something like I have to do ten for every one she does. Quoted: Quoted: I asked my wife "4 sets of 50 or 70-70-60?" She said 70-70-60. Sometimes that's what it takes. That’s awesome.
