Quoted: Take a bow brother....you made this happen. Ive already done hundreds of pushups this year because you made this thread. Thank you! Quoted: Quoted: The sheer number of us who are stepping into this venture is encouraging. Plus the results everyone is achieving is PDG. Ive already done hundreds of pushups this year because you made this thread. Thank you! ![]() We made this happen. I'm just one man. Everyone's efforts are their own and willingness to be part of something greater than themselves is what people should strive for. |

Quoted: nice. I'll try to do my kettlebell swings and mid-air catches tonight when I get to the gym. Quoted: Quoted: 50 pushups, 50 KB swings 235/100 nice. I'll try to do my kettlebell swings and mid-air catches tonight when I get to the gym. Gonna do other stuff this evening cause I’m super sore. ![]() Can’t say I’ve done this many pushups ever, even in my younger days. This thread is motivating so thanks for making it. |

Quoted: 165 pushups today. 1x35 3x30 2x20 365 for the week 365 for the year Good thread OP! A million times more productive than bickering at each other in GD. Another 140 today Kept it simple 7x20 505 for the week. 505 for the year. Pretty sure thats the most I've gotten in a 3 day period ever. Accountability is a good motivator. |

I never found much motivation for them either in my 20s and 30s. Almost 45, I find the effort to be exactly what I need for the day, week, month, season. I hope many of us here exceedingly destroy their "limits" this year and ones following. |

I already do three sets of 3 different kinds (20 regular, 10-12 closed hand, 20 wide arms), 2x a week... Not looking at increasing for now cuz I'm a bit sore from some weight lifting I added to my routine... We'll see once I get adapted to the new workouts added. ETA: I recently got some new pull-up bars...need to incorporate those back in too. |

I'm in for 500/wk. That's 10x10 each week day. I work from home, so I think it's feasible. The real test will be if I can still do those sets on upper body day. I hired a personal trainer about 2 months ago and am in the gym 3 days a week. It's the first real attempt I have made in fitness in like 15 years. I also started keto about 4 months ago, but have only been strict with it for about the last 3 months. Still, I'm down from 240 to 197 in that period. That puts me at about 23% body fat. I also quit drinking bc it was fucking up my life and marriage and causing some lurking depression and anxiety to snowball. Here's to a new life in 2024, gents! ![]() |

In sets of 10 or 15 last couple Thats the kind of shit I need to do more of. I'll stop and do a set of pushups occasionally on a trail run, but nothing a while now. Haven't done much weighted hiking lately either. Quoted: Another 140 today Kept it simple 7x20 505 for the week. 505 for the year. Pretty sure thats the most I've gotten in a 3 day period ever. Accountability is a good motivator. Another 302 today. 4x25 8x20 2x15 1x12 807/week 807/year Most I've done in a week ever, I guess I just never tried hard enough. Might be it for the week for me. Gonna focus on more reps per set next week. I'd love to be able to pump out 50 at a time. Also, for those interested, we've have a thread like this in the MTB/Cycling forum going, if anyone wants to post their ride (or ski) stats/pics. Post your ride/ski stats |

Quoted: Jan 4 - 120 Total - 1,420 Forgot to update yesterday. I did some more today, but I will wait to update after I finish. Jan. 5 - 104 Jan. 6 - 400 so far Total: 1,924 Thursday and Friday were rough with schedule and general fatigue. Great challenge! You can ALWAYS drop down and do a few every day. |

Quoted: I’m doing 25 twice a day, but it seems I can’t increase the number. What’s the secret to that? 55 yrs here. Incrementalism! Try one set of 26 and then one set of 25. Next day - try for two sets of 25. Sometimes you feel.good and make big jumps and sometimes it's tough to try and maintain. |
