Aspirin really is a nice substance. Don't disparage it. It's effective as shit. The best NSAID ever.

If I could only have a lifetime supply of one single drug in some hypothetical cartoon SHTF scenario, I would choose aspirin. Second place is so far behind it doesn't even have a chance.

Of all the possible suspension of disbelief scenes you have to endure with AV (movies, TV) stories as opposed to literature, my vote is for CPR as the archetype. You can't fake CPR on a living person. It would kill them. Commotio Cordis, broken ribs, pulmonary trauma. It just can't be done. Not only can't be actually done, but physiology limits it to the lamest pretend fakery ever. View Quote |

I have never ever, not once, ever seen cinematic CPR that actually resembled the real thing. Seriously. That shit is hardcore. It's too raw for the screen. No
Hell, I've actually done it and I don't want or need to see it. |

It's kinda sad the narrator just said "For now, submariners are the Navy's most elite sailors. The program only takes the top 2% of the navy's people, and they do not accept female applicants"

I figure it's ballast. But if it's ballast why is there water in there, and why would you blow out water to take on water? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

They're going over trim tanks now. Pretty cool. Guys saying as they do stuff and eat food they gotta adjust them all the time. It's a pretty cool basic documentary. They go over the nuclear tubes and how that fits in with the design and they show two guys checking water levels on the nukes. The rocket boils the water to create steam, which launches the nuke, then the decelerator notices it's slowing down and lights the real motor. You probably know all this, but it's pretty cool for a basic documentary |

Got more cast arn, too. Got a ten inch grill, and just all kinds a cool sheeeit. I love it when a plan comes together, but patience sucks ass.

Also apparently deodorant is banned because it fucks with some of the systems. And showers have to be quick because the hot water pumps are noisy. Lots of cool random facts. I saw another one that spent a lot of time on mounts. Hand dryers, everything had rubber mounts because noise. Also apparently there's only 8 toilets in an attack sub for 100 guys! |
