Ignore the hint and keep doing it....... you still get more chances until a staff member sees what's going on. It's rare for anyone to get a ban for one post unless they're a retread. |

I’m boring View Quote That's what my brother always told me, he joined the British army in 1978 at the age of 16 and a half. He is still serving today 42+ years later as the senior NCO responsible for the cadet force at a prestigious public middle/high school. He has always said he regrets never being in a "real large shooting" war. But the more he opens up the more I realize he did a bunch of important things and his service contributed more than his modesty will ever admit. Thanks for what you did for our nation. |

Rodger that, DK was the man, he could have shafted me and didn’t. That's how it should work, DK is a very good guy, people know his military experience and the goose jokes but very few here realize how respected he is in his chosen professorial field of study (being vague so I don't arock him). |

Maybe people like her could show their support for former slaves by trying to experience a slave's life..... she could even show her support for black lives by lynching herself to pay back and compensate some of the mistreatment blacks have suffered in the past. |

You signed on the line, you did the time, any day you could have been called upon to give your life for this country. You still get my thanks even if you don't want it My brother never got his big war (thankfully), he got to clear mines and herd POWs after the Falklands, he did cold war stuff in West Germany, missed out on GW1 as he was in Ireland, he did a bunch of tours in Northern Ireland, lost friends, and only fired a weapon at an opposing combatant once (successfully) that he's mentioned, but he also helped train and inspire a lot of young kids, turning them into Soldiers who went into Iraq and Afghanistan, one of whom earned the Victoria Cross. |
