NSWC spec is M16 internal cut without third hole.
If Zev or Geissele is making the lower for APC, then I would buy one. |
|
Looking forward to this opportunity to purchase
Most likely I'll buy 2. |

I’d be in if it had “NSWC Crane Spec” or similar on it somewhere.

Quoted: Could you do an enhanced funnel magwell like an Aero, KE Arms and some others have? View Quote What is the USGI magwell spec? Is it the same spec we've had since the original AR-15/M16? It makes sense to me that Crane would want to open up the magwell to facilitate faster reloads. But I think we would be aware of that change having been made. I just put together an AR with a Aero upper and lower fit was excellent and the setscrew was not needed. Ben, could you offer upper & lower pairs, in FDE? |

Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Just skimmed their website. At least the Feds are out in the open. You do realize the OP is the founder of APC? And fyi the APC has its own subforum here Well technically speaking he’s not wrong…. Interested I wanted nothing to do with this. I wanted nothing to do with being forced into the public eye. The day I committed to doing so out of necessity, I admitted to being a fed. I've never hid that. I greatly look forward to being able to fade into the background again someday. But I've got to see things through first, because no one else was doing so. We are making something good. We have to build it in a way that stays so. |

Are tension screws just modern Accuwedges? No idea they were a thing.

Quoted: I intend to do 7.62 NATO lowers next if we sell out of 5.56 lowers. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Any chance there will be .308 lowers? I intend to do 7.62 NATO lowers next if we sell out of 5.56 lowers. There can be strange fit issues with uppers, so unless you specify manufacturer or sell receiver sets, then it may not be a good idea. |

Quoted: Not with this run. The good news is you can remove it if you really don't want it. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Will it be available without the nonsense screw? Not with this run. The good news is you can remove it if you really don't want it. Thank you for responding. I don't want to get too far into the weeds here but... I have 13 AR platform rifles (and constantly expanding) and i have never encountered any significant "slop" in mating uppers to lowers. Am I just that lucky? |

Most fit together pretty well imo. The screw is nice for those that want a very tight fit. I used one on my mk 12 clone. It certainly doesn't hurt anything with its presence. You can't tell it's there without removing the pistol grip. |

I'm in for one at what ever price to support the cause. But I'm seriously rationalizing *everything* I own at this point in my life and really have no use for it.

Quoted: Just a set screw under the pistol grip that threads up under the rear takedown pin. Can tighten it to reduce upper and lower slop. The aero enhanced lowers come with it. View Quote Unneeded but lots here dig that stuff because play between their upper and lower keeps them up at night... |

I'd go $250.
Try to remember--this is a FUNDRAISER for APC--you just so happen to get a piece of swag in return for your contribution. |
