The best rifle for this situation is neither. Even a bolt would rot without maintenane over 3 years in a humid climate. You're fucked any which way without oil(yes, I know how that sounds

The only AK I ever had, sold it before I even shot it.
I have 9 AR15s.
Part of me wants to say AK due to jungle conditions and potential for lack of maintenance, but if it ever failed WHY WHY DID I PICK THIS PIECE OF SHIT!

But seriously Kola King, I think I'd have to go AK on this one even though I think they belong in the garbage can too. Fact is if I'm going to be stranded in a foreign country in a jungle, I rather have the auto that requires the least amount of maintenance and shoots common ammo to the country I'd be in, regardless of its inferiority
