I got a Superocean a couple years ago. I like it but wish it had a metal band.

Still love my Black Bay, too.

I have an older Sub but don’t wear it much.

I like my three auto winders.

The silver Seiko 6138 UFO was my dad’s and dates from 1972.

The brown Seiko 6138 Bullhead I bought from the same guys who restored dad’s watch. It is 1976 vintage.

The Bremont was a gift from my wife in 2018. She bought it but I did the hard part to qualify, it is an MBI.

I agree with getting the Omega. I am looking at getting one myself now.

In my opinion the Speedy is the most iconic watch out there. More so than the Submariner.

I'm half tempted to move this one along to pay for more suppressors.  Still kind of half want a Tudor North Flag, but my Aqua Terra, 2254.50 and Pelagos get the most wrist time so it's probably best to start buying more suppressors and thermal instead.

Those hands on that particular Breitling are absurdly small for a dial/bezel/case that large. Very poor legibility that will get old very fast.  It will be very hard to resell.  JMHO.  Of those two, I’d get a Seamaster. . .

As a non-watch guy, that all sounds very reasonable

Omega is timeless. I still wear my 30 year old seamaster often.

I think you posted that before, that is a great looking watch, and I don’t like Breitling.

Someone mentioned Sinn, nice watches, but they got overpriced post-covid IMHO. They literally mostly use off the shelf Stelita movements, though their cases have some nice features. Also, Sinn’s lume is horrible. They are great watches though.

Lacomakes a pretty neat tool watch that semi-resembles the Breit above, $2k’ish.

2254.50

great watch, one of their best ever.  if they made it in 43-45mm I'd still have it.  didn't fit my ginormous hamburger helper hands/wrist.

Seamasters with chronograph functions make my brain itch.

On a completely and utterly unrelated note. Anyone here have one of these?

I say I primarily wear Omega or Tudor earlier in the thread, and I end up wearing a Breitling on this trip

I should throw the bracelet on sometime.  I never have.

I have several Breitlings and Omegas. Choosing one of those, I’ll choose Omega. Not knowing what you want out of the watch I’d suggest a Speedmaster Professional. I like the “sapphire sandwich.”

Here is one of my Breitlings that I have never seen on anyone else. Avenger II GMT

I also like IWC. This is Le Petit Prince.

I only have one Tudor. This one reminds me of my first watch when I was a kid.

What you want to do with the watch, or what you want the watch to do for you are very important considerations.

Sapphire sandwich is definitely a cool watch, but also on the smaller side if you're otherwise considering a Breitling.  Being a manual wind, it's thinner and lighter (not to mention, a smaller diameter case).
