View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: The boy constantly rocked side to side. Does that seem like normal behavior? For a kid getting pressed by cops, yeah probably. Even adults can get nervous around cops. I wouldn't really necessarily take it as a sign of guilt. I wasn't so much taking it as a sign of guilt, as I was thinking it odd behavior; something out of the norm that might indicate that the boy has something mentally or emotionally wrong with him. That was kind of why I asked - I've not seen 14-year-olds interviewed by cops before, nor spent any time around young teens under stress, so I don't know what the common behaviors are. |

Quoted: Same in Seminole county FL. Not a good time to be talking shit on the internet. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Quoted:Add another one. Our small county closed school today due to a 14 year old threat on Tic Toc. Allegedly. 2 arrested in my area yesterday, 13 and 11 yo. The whole county was in a panic, with parents keeping kids home Thursday, including my wife. Seeing them go down in TX too, guessing they're taking these seriously for the remainder of election season at least. |

View Quote They'll stop closing the schools and start treating these like the typical hoax bomb threat kids used to call in to try to get out of going to class. Unless there is some credibility to the threat there is zero reason for the school to be closed and doing so is an over-reaction by school staff. |

Keep closing schools; people go, “Seriously? WTF. It’s all just a bunch of BS. Inconveniencing everyone”. DON’T close the school for one of these and some nutter actually shoots up the school and everyone goes, “They dropped the ball on this! Incompetence! How could they ignore the warnings?!!!” |

It is what is done on a consistent basis in countless occupation across the globe on a minute-by-minute basis. Closing a school and keeping thousands of kids at home isnt doing anything productive. It simply lets pranksters know they can get out of school by calling in some BS. Regardless of what is or isnt done people are going to bitch. Youa re seeing this rash of prank calls right now because the callers see the gross over-reaction being taken by schools....that is the only reason it is happening. |

The beauty of it is that it hits the school's where it counts... the wallet. Here, school's receive funding per child, per day in attendance. Hopefully we have enough pranks that keep enough kids out of school, and the school's are forced to address the issue and secure the buildings. |

Unfortunately, it usually takes a financial incentive for action to be taken. I agree the biggest problem is the lack of accountability in the classroom. I don't understand how we got to this point as a society. Problem kids need to be removed from the main classrooms. |

Quoted: thats lmost not a thing anymore. every snowflake is special and must be catered too View Quote Some of these violent students have do disabilities which attach additional layers of due process in order to remove them from the regular school environment, but it can be done. We need school administrators who are willing to do the work to move students out to alternative placements and make the referrals to law enforcement and mental health services when needed. School administration needs to be trained and accountable for better management of these situations as well. In Oxford, the damn dean of students returned the weapon to the kid, because he *failed* to check the kid's book bag before returning it to him. Furthermore, the parents were allowed to leave the student at school after administration called them in to conference about threatening drawings (among other signs). Who in the hell lets that happen? Either they take him or LE drops him off. Better administration, hardened schools, trained staff, more LE presence, student culture where reported safety concerns are addressed, additional interventions for students, accountability for parents... won't stop all of these incidents, but that would be a good start. |

The right has developed it's own set of talking points when it comes to this stuff. It can easily shout down the gun control talk now. Especially once it's proven the system dropped the ball. |
