Pick Your Favorite Creepy Family (original series)

The Addams Family

or

The Munsters

for those that vote base upon eye candy...

Addams: Morticia

Munsters: Lily

Munsters: Marilyn

My Pick? I believe the Addams Family had better story lines and overall production.

As one who grew up when those were aired, Addams.

BTW, the creepiest family in America is Bubba, Hitlery and Webb Hubbell's bastage daugther.

ETA: Hitlery is a real witch and the bastage daughter a satanist.

The Addams family was better written. It was often... witty. The jokes on The Munsters were more lightweight.

No contest. Addam’s family hands down.

Morticia is smoking hot and, as a kid, I wanted to be Gomez when I grew up.

They hold the test of time, better as well.

The Gruesomes were best!

I find both the Munsters and the Addams Family to be very watchable and entertaining. But the Munsters did a movie. (Not an 80s or 90s reboot.)

I still think they should have done a "worlds collide" sort of crossover episode between the two families. That could have been fun.

Both shows ran from 1964 to 1966, two seasons.

The Addams Family was great. Gomez was brilliantly written and acted.

The Munsters had its moments, but overall was not nearly as good. Grandpa was the highlight.

What's even stranger is that she's four years older than I am.

She's Wednesday because when she was a little girl she used to conduct funerals for deceased small animals and birds that she found. The other little kids in the neighborhood would attend.

We loved watching the Addams Family when we were kids.

The Munsters didn't really thrill me, although it may have been because it was on a channel that was hard for us to tune in way out in rural America. We turned our antennae by hand.

Addams over Munsters, but Lily over Morticia. Marilyn was such a background character that most folks didn't notice when the original actress was replaced.
