We all get some miles on us.
The folks who look like they are aging gracefully seem to be the ones who look like they are acting their age, i.e. dressing age appropriate, hair styles, etc. The folks who look like they are still trying to be trendy.....just look like a mess. |

Never heard of half of them.
Madonna looks like she is sporting a little beard and is pretty scary looking. Ah Ms. Hoffs I still would with reckless abandon. |

And that particular picture of two of the Violent Femmes makes those two look like Lenny and Squiggy.

That article is complete bullshit, and all those photos are fake.
I have my cassettes of Prince, Madonna and U2 right here, and their pictures are clearly different. I don't know who all those old people are. |

I'll keep Stevie Nicks, Pat Benatar for the win. The rest in the list View Quote +1 Two of my favorite 80's female singers. They have both aged fairly well. I have met Debbie Harry twice in person about 20 some years ago, and she was already pretty rough. If she had any more pancake makeup on in that picture, she'd be an IHOP.

I have no idea who most of these people are. Some I remember my mom listening to.

Mmmm... Teri Nunn. She's always been able to make me feel... stirrings...

Midge Ure (solo and fronting Ultravox)... one of my favorite musicians/writers of that era or ANY era.
Too many uptight mullets around here. I played Maiden, Yngwie, Ozzy, Dio, Queensryche, Rush, etc in metal bands in the 80s. But I still love a lot of that 80s New Wave and Pop. The chicks were hot and it was a great time to be a youngun!!! ETA: Good to see Big Country on there as well. One of my all-time favorite bands. RIP Stewart Adamson... |

It's interesting that they list him as "Bob Geldof of The Boomtown Rats". It should read "Bob Geldof, organizer of Live Aid", because nobody had a fucking clue who he or is band was, prior to that. Also: If he dyed his hair black, he'd barely look 10 years older than he did in 1985. View Quote I guess it depends on your age - I recognize him from the Boomtown Rats and as Pink, from Pink Floyd's The Wall. I haven't heard some of those band names since the 80's; I saw Chrissie Hynde jerk a guy up by his collar, and punch him in the face for trying to climb on stage back in 1982. She looks like a little blue-haired old lady judging from that pic. Had to lol at Robert Smith from The Cure - he's gotten better at putting on make-up. |

One of the comments said that Kate Bush needed to go "running up that hill" a bit more. So snarky (considering I myself could also stand to go running up a few hills) but funny! It is sad to see all those "cool kids" and former hotties and hunks of my own heyday showing their age, but makes me laugh for what those annoying twits of today (Beiber and Miley, anyone?) have coming round the corner for them! Time is a right bastard, and will roll over them hard. View Quote That Kate Bush pic shocked me. Such a beautiful lady for so many years. These past couple haven't been too kind to her. But they haven't been too kind to me either... |
