The Medusa (Aurea) is regularly used to extract information from spies, by draining their memories (and life) and telling everyone else what she sees. The manga (Ch 87 & Ch 88) has adapted the 'reporter arc' of the web novel. The part where Itami goes into a world with aliens (yes, the aliens from the Alien franchise) would've been awesome though. The light novel has a far better explanation of what happens to certain characters at the end of the series. The only members of "The Original 3rd Recon" that are still alive are Itami, Kurata, Kuribayashi, and Tomita. ETA: I would LOVE for them to animate Rory telling the JSDF, in regards to Itami, words to the effect of "NOBODY touches MY bitch." Remember, Rory makes Itami her disciple, which she (as the future goddess of love) intends for him to serve her for 1,000-years, and then have him ascent into godhood. Itami meets Persia's father during his travels. Persia's father knows of his daughter being "quite fond" of "a great warrior among the Green Men". Persia's father, seeing that his daughter was a fierce warrior in her own capacity, is absolutely OK with it. Itami didn't have the heart to tell Persia's father about Kurata's "real otaku nature". It's one of the things I wish they explained a bit more in the anime. Colt Formal didn't just pick the demihumans for their looks He had the habit of hiring "non-human staff" because they are more reliable and trustworthy than the normal humans that were typically hired to do such work. As the majority of the Imperial families would never do business with a "non-human", he didn't have to worry about them being sent as assassins or spies from any of the other royal families. The only exceptions being Delia (who was tricked by Bartholomew, who was tricked by Tyuule, into trying to kill Noriko), and Meia (who was tricked by Diabo, who was tricked by the chinese, into kidnapping Leilei). Also, as one of his rules, every one of the "demihuman staff" in the Formal Mansion is generally an experienced warrior from wherever they came from. Persia has an almost mythical reputation among the cat people. Meia & Miicul were hinted to also be warriors among the cat people. Delia, Mamina, and Griine were quite notable in their battle skills and accomplishments within the Warrior Bunny Tribe. The Medusa was particularly feared in the region she was found in. Dora (the fox girl) is hinted at being "a combat veteran". The elves that were referenced in the light novels didn't have a background story. Kaine, the Head Maid, fought against the Empire in multiple battles, and was "enslaved" (but not really) by Colt after the Seige of Rosa. I still feel sorry for Deliah, as she is the only person from the Special Region to be trapped on Earth after the Gate closed. |
