Honey, hold my beer and video this.

They tend to run up the tree near the chicken coop when I shoot them. I wonder if they will have the same response when hit with a column of fire.

Thats my prediction.   I think its a programmed response.   Those fuckers are brainless.

I've killed several by chasing them, throwing an item at  them to make them play dead, and stabbing them. Have killed some with my Maglite too, and the sound it makes is quite similar to the banned sound.

I tested that, for science.

I am not too sure of its viability as a replacement for mechanical mowing.

So did you get this for the original $700 projected price or did you have to pay up at current $1200?

It is sweet, but I don't think I can justify $1200 to get one to my own door. $900-1k? Probably. $700-800? Oh yeah!

Mid October. I was first in line after the crowd sourcing folks. They did three generations of designs from the first order shipped until mine.

Back in the day, the local drag strip had their "Night of Fire". We brought the drivers to the race in our Hueys, then displayed the flamethrower.
Put on a real show.
For some reason pressurized fuel strapped to my back never seemed like a good idea.

They say they've caught up and are ahead of schedule, but who knows what that means. Just trying to decide on finish. I really like the battle worn but it's an extra Benjamin and longer lead time. Some solid colors might do it.

Oh...and absolutely serious.

After seeing the battleworn in person, I wouldn't have it any other way. The Milspec OD green works very well with it. blowndeadline does some really nice work.

I can't imagine the cost of manufacturing these being that expensive. Losing their ass or just leaving money on the table?

Would love to have one, would consider it at half that price, but $1200 is way too much.

Prices go up when you have to fill a 1000+ units and need to contract out a couple shifts at the local welder shop, for months on end. Then there is shipping. There there is the new improvements based on user feedback. Ion productions has been pretty damn open about their struggle to fill the initial demand. Its not like this was Walmart introducing a new product. It was a couple Engineering students who decided to offer up a commercial flamethrower. I suspect they learned a shit ton of business lessons really quickly.

Heads up to anybody interested, they got some back in that some guy tried to take into Canada. Already painted by BDL and discounted. I saw it on BDLs Instagram but you have to go to the XM42 sight to purchase. Still too steep for me.
