Me jumping out of a Slovakian Mi-2 in an OVP-85 chute. A true foreign jump.

I've ended up in the trees on Sicily too... We kept getting reserve pilots that sucked at flying for half our drops. Even had a reserve pilot come through 500' too low and fly through a stick of jumpers. Yes, we had a fatality, PFC Edward Suits. RIP brother.  About 1988 wasn't it? I wasn't jumping that day, but news went thru the division real fast on that one. Myself. C-130 C-141 UH-1 -- only two jumps out of the Huey. WV when working with the NG and PLDC. 39 total 1985-89 HSC 313th MI BN 82nd. Abn Div. |
