A few years ago I remember watching a documentary about young people and school athletic programs. As it turned out, gymnastics and cheerleading programs had far more grievous injuries than football.

I did something similar, ended up with serious bone bruising on my tibia and kneecap and a torn ACL. That's what happens when they bend backwards.
