It can be anything from relatively minor (take a daily aspirin) to fatal. Depends on exact location and size. Usually involves being on some sort of blood thinner or another for months or even years. They’ll probably put her on a heparin infusion while she’s there and then an injectable or oral blood thinner like eloquis or lovenox or Coumadin once she’s discharged. |
