Quoted: is the Broadcastify link for Zone 6 east just quiet for everyone else? The two guys who talked just now are the first I've heard in 10 minutes. View Quote 6 was completely dead (two officers talked for about 1 minute regarding not being able to contact "her"). Zone 5 Police + Fire is livelier, but still not a lot of traffic. |

Zones 1-5 and Fire
Some traffic, not what I would expect for a city the size of Atlanta. They keep talking about taking it to channel 1 and do you have any officers available. Couple of calls but again pretty quiet. Zone 6 is dead Jim |

View Quote I would prefer laws that prevent them for using them as bodyguards, they serve the public. not the mayors private army like bloomberg and many of the others think. She had at least 12 of them at her house the other day. |

One has to assume that they are asking local media to sit on this, otherwise the consequences would be...consequential.
There is no way Zone 6 is really that quiet. We see how thin the blue line is. |

Now City has cause to fire all the officers, deny them unemployment, etc. Then can go on to hire more "fellow travelers" and "comrades of proven worth" in their place to enact true Community Oriented Policing. Quoted: There was rumors about mutual aid agreements being cancelled after the incident with the 6 Atlanta officers 2 weeks ago. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: A buddy of mine is a sheriff's deputy in an adjoining county. The word they got is the ATL officers on duty saw the press conference, returned their cruisers to the stations, and went home. Over half is current estimate. Nobody knows what this means long term, but holy fuck. The supervisors are probably blowing out their thumbs trying to call back day shift and get backfill up and running. I’m betting cops are making phone calls to their buddies telling them not to work or call in sick. There’s gonna be a hell of a lot of confusion. Some will still come to work. Others won’t get the news until they show up at the station. Mutual aid is probably being enacted so the surrounding jurisdictions, state police and sheriff’s offices will have to make decisions too. It’s going to be chaos for a bit. All the while brass will be trying to keep it quiet and throwing threats around lest the locals pick up on it. There was rumors about mutual aid agreements being cancelled after the incident with the 6 Atlanta officers 2 weeks ago. @beavo451 Those aren't rumors. Several large metro departments pulled out and told them they weren't coming back. |
