A buddy of mine is a sheriff's deputy in an adjoining county.
The word they got is the ATL officers on duty saw the press conference, returned their cruisers to the stations, and went home. Over half is current estimate. Nobody knows what this means long term, but holy fuck. |

I wouldn't get too worked up. One of three things will happen here: 1) we will find out this was a twitter rumor run wild and nothing really changed. 2) the politicains will make some minor concessions behind the scenes, the officers will be back on the job tomorrow. 3) they'll publicly denigrate the small number of officers who left, and go right along filling in the vacancies as possible. In the end, dems will lose nothing, and nobody will learn anything. |
