Packing to go to the Bahamas and my wife informs me that my favorite old tattered cammy shorts are a no go unless i want to go to 3rd world Bahamas jail. Is this legit? I'm tempted now, they are in the suit case.
Please send commissary credits and soap on a rope. |

Yes, it's true. Only military in a lot of places, to include the Caribbean, are allowed to wear camo.

Guess I'm strange I don't own anything camo that isn't used for hunting, and I refuse to wear it any other time.
Just not my thing, but to each their own. |

I spend a lot of time in the Caribbean and Bahamas. I learned while I was scuba diving that they don’t like that.

Fuck ‘em, it’s not like they can see you when you’re wearing them. Just find a matching shirt and some green and black face paint.

Could you imagine getting off the plane in one of Muammar Gaddafi's loud ass uniforms ? Gentlemen you could really start a trend.

For added fun, here's a travel advisory for the Bahamas due to elevated crime.

Huh. I have never heard of such a thing, and I’ve been to the Bahamas. Guess it’s a good thing I happened to not own/pack any.

|
yup, I had to change out of my fish camo shorts at the St Kitts airport
|

Interesting. I was in Jamaica for awhile a few years ago, and wore a bunch of camo shorts and even a tank top on day and no one ever said anything to me

I am currently in the Bahamas.
Nobody gives a fuck what you wear. PAY THE MONEY, WHITEY. BUY THEIR SHIT. SPEND THOSE DOLLARS. |

We went to the Bahamas in 2018. Just another third world shithole run by a certain demographic surrounded by beautiful turquoise water.
I can think of better places to spend my money. |

Can't wear any camouflage including hats In a Florida Correctional Institution

Why is that a law? Are they afraid you might be able to hide from tyranny in the jungle or something?
|

Certain countries you’ll want to avoid black or olive drab military looking backpacks as well. Black is fine some places where olive drab is not and Vice versa

I just traveled to Turks & Caicos with a camo backpack and shorts. No issues

Yep, clashes with the red shorts
Stick to white pin point oxford blouses |

OP should wear a full ghillie suit, but dye it flouresant colors.

Not unusual in former colonies, especially former British colonies. These were colonial laws that stayed in place in most cases. Some other countries adopted them due to issues with rebels or due to the governments being the product of revolution.

JFC never would have thought to check for something like this, even though I don't wear camo except for a tiger stripe boonie hat when doing yard work.

Leave the camo and take plate carriers.

Just read about this, the inlaws were thinking of going and I dropped the travel advisory on them.

It's a law out here in madagascar as well.
But i see guys wearing fashion-y camo tshirts or pants they got from goodwill sometimes. I can't imagine anyone stopping you for your clothes here. They don't even write speeding tickets. I imagine it's more of a selectively enforced law. Like if you're doing something rebel-y and wearing camo they can tack that on to your other charges. Or of they just want to screw with you or get some extra cash at a checkpoint. |

What kind of hillbilly thought pattern would lead one to own camo shorts, much less wear them on vacation?

Are Hawaiian Shirts camo? View Quote This is a very legitimate question. Green and brown patterned shirts with leaves or other plants printed might cross the line. Does pink or orange camo count as camo? In the end it depends on whatever some corrupt official in a third world mud country decides when the opportunity to arises to extort money from a tourist. |

I bet if Arfcommers were able to cooperate we could totally conquer that place.
