2nd BN, 320th FA was formerly a unit assigned to the 101st DivArty, 101st ABN DIV (AASLT). Their motto was "Balls of the Eagle." It was deactivated several years ago (pretty much because their motto was so politically incorrect) and replaced with 2/32nd FA, "Proud Americans." Of course, the motto really started out as a reference to cannon balls, what with them being an artillery unit and all.

Y'all might have had a mini-series, but there's only one regiment in the 101st whose nickname was given to them by the enemy.

1/502 Inf. " Strike " , and our  salute was " First Strike ".

1/48th Inf. " Dragoons " ,  and our salute was " Blood and Guts ".  When we would go other posts in Europe and saluted and yelled our " Blood and Guts ", we would get some wild looks.
