I’m not even eating the stuff right now but new office says it’s a requirement. What do you recommend?
ETA: it’s not an actual requirement. That’s just how the existing staff is describing it in jest. There are 20 offices or so and everyone does have a candy dish on their desk. |

if its full of women, chocolate and butterscotch.
all dudes mints of some type. not because they are enjoyed but because likely needed. variety packs works too. some places have halloween candy already |
|
Ones loaded with sugar alcohol so people will be too busy shitting to be at your desk.

If I didn't want to eat it and was being forced to comply it would be liquorice

I like the wintergreen lifesavers.. keep everyones breath fresh.

What ever you buy, makes sure its individual wrapped... Cut down on the spread of germs. IMO.

.
You are required to have a candy jar?! A middle manager decision to demonstrate how useful they are? And there are those that think WFH is less productive. |

Sugar free gummy bears, read the amazon reviews if you want a laugh.

Haribo SugarFree Gummies should be top of the list.
After that, individually wrapped mint lifesavers. Beyond that, whatever you like. |

View Quote Oh I’m sure I could take a stand on it and refuse. It’s mostly just the boys joking around about giving the new guy a hard time. I’m not worried about the expense. |

We went through that at work. I had a cookie jar that looked like a wolf; but when you opened the lid it made the sound of a cow mooing.
HR wasn’t amuse. |

Werthers, OG and coffee. Those breath mints that look like life savers are always good too.

'Nuff Said. I think loose unwrapped candies like M&Ms and the like will be covered in fecal particles shortly. Get a fishbowl type jar so that if someone reached in they could only grab one at a time as their hand won't fit if they grab more. The smart people will pick up the bowl to pour them out or not bother. One bag of M&Ms could last you a year. |

I've never heard of anyone complain about a Werther's Original.

If it is a requirement then work buys it
otherwise sugar free gummie bears |
|
I like the wrapped individual candies. All it takes is one un-sanitary person rooting around in there to stop everyone else from taking one.

Circus Peanuts. They are disgusting an no one will ever eat one. That way you can buy some to comply, and will never have to buy another package.
If you happen to like circus peanuts, I pray for your heathen soul, and you can pick any other disgusting and revolting candy that no one will ever consume. |
