I sort of dug the ending of The Ring.
Instead of helping Samara by providing a proper burial so her spirit can be "at peace" her son explains that "you weren't supposed to help her" and everyone is made to realize she is a vengeful, evil spirit who is now possibly more destructive since her influence seemed to be somewhat contained by the well. Turned a "bore the crap out of me" mediocre horror film into something much more fun. |
