any kind of thin/shoestring...seasoned or not

thick cut or steak fries are the absolute worst

Love large cut steak fries without skin like those from Red Robin, but they could do with putting on less of their seasoning.

McDonald's fries are the best fast food fries.

Can't stand thin shoestring type fries.

Another vote for crinkle cut.  They keep their structural integrity better when dipping into sauces and after the first bite, too.

I go between steak fries and regular crinkle cut fries depending on my mood when I buy them. If both are sold out I'm willing to take most anything as a substitute. Shoestring are at the bottom of my list, they dry out too fast(usually before they're done cooking).

If you use the broader definition of fries meaning 'a fried potato product'...

Then TATER TOTS

I was tricked into eating them when I was a kid. Now that I've eaten them, the resistance is gone. I remember liking them until my dad told me what I was eating. I'd eat them again.

It's like the State was custom-created for me.

Over in Allen, there's an In-N-Out one block over from a Whataburger. I grab a Double-Double (Animal style) at the In-N-Out, then swing by the Whataburger drive thru for the fries and that ketchup they season with crack. Livin' the dream.

I like steak fries since they are nice and starchy, but that's also the reason I like a "box of nails" from White Castle, too.

Those look like Rocky Mountain oysters to me. The original sack lunch.

They're delicious.

Indeed you do, Sir, indeed you do.

A calf-nut dinner and an evening at the Stock Show Rodeo will be a positive checkmark on your Texan application.
