Just after 2 weeks it needs repairs.
The Pentagon said a floating pier that has been delivering relief aid to Palestinians will be towed to the southern Israeli city of Ashdod for repairs after sustaining damage in high seas. The White House has been touting the $320 million project as a way to alleviate Palestinian suffering even while pressuring Israel to open new relief routes warning about the risks of a full-scale invasion of Rafah. The Pentagon blames rough seas for the problems with the pier. U.S. Central Command said choppy conditions caused four U.S. vessels to break free of the pier. Two of them washed up on shore in Gaza. 'In order to reassemble everything it's going to to detach from the coastline move up to Ashdod to be reassembled and then reattached,' said Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh The Pentagon says about 1,000 service members were involved in the project. White House National Security Spokesman John Kirby, who marked the opening of the pier with a series of TV interviews earlier this month, has said there would be no U.S. boots on the ground in Israel but that U.S. forces would provide security for the pier. Israeli journalist Caroline Glick posted an image Monday with commentary about the situation, writing that the pier was 'sinking' amid the rough seas. 'The Biden pier in Gaza is sinking into the sea.... ($320m sinking along with it...),' she wrote. The Jewish Press also reported that it was 'sinking.' 'It was never intended to supplant what you can do on the ground,' said Kirby at the White House on Tuesday. 'It's been tough wether - weather plays a role. Mother Nature has a say here and the eastern Med – even in the summertime – can be a pretty rough place,' he said. Continued |

How do I get tax refund? I don't want a single penny of my money to be wasted on the terrorists and criminals. |

Im all for bashing Biden but damn...its not like he designed the damned thing. Thats your military spending money on shit that doesn't work as intended.

is it wrong to look at this with glee?
I don't care. and I've decided if this despicable wretch continues to be president ill look with glee on the results. |

Yes, this makes Biden look bad. It does, however, cast a dark shadow on our military's effectiveness.
FFS, it's a floating dock. |

Quoted: Another Biden success story. View Quote And it was barely used, like 1/1000 of what they said they would deliver from it. But nothing in the media about its massive failure. ETA I went to Hawaii 2 years in a row and couldn’t step foot on the Arizona memorial because the dock was broken. It’s all such horse shit. |

Embarrassing like most things coming from this administration.

This amazing failure sure surprises me. As did the Afgan withdrawl. As did the border fiasco. Well, we did get 7 charging stations at only $1 billion bucks. Oh, and the administration can't seem to get planes to fly as designed. The new guy in charge of nuclear waste disposal turned out to be a cross dressing luggage thief.
I was really hoping something these idiots did would work. Of well. |

Were they designed to be used on a lake? I've seen the Med get relatively rough. Pics from '86. We were doing an unrep with an AOR in the Med. We were rocking pretty good, and the wind was blowing so hard the helos were supposed to stop flying, but they didn't. We ended up doing an emergency breakaway, and the helos kept going for a while. Attached File Attached File We passed the Nimitz ~1100 pallets in about 8 hours. This is after we broke away, and helos still had some more stuff to deliver. Much more pleasant and typical day in the Med. Attached File |

The pier is designed for operation in sheltered harbors that have been knocked out of action due to natural disasters or warfare. Parking it on the eastern med with no shelter or breakwater puts it at the edge of its operational capability in normal conditions. It's only designed to work up until state three, which is not much of a sea state.
The people who decided to employ this equipment in this manner are the ones responsible. It's like ordering someone to engage a 500 meter target with an MP5. Nothing wrong with an MP5, but it's the wrong tool for the job. Now, the Gaza Pier has Been Beached! | Video Shows Part of the Trident Pier Ashore in Israel |

Good maybe this will make bringing them all here less likely.

He got his goods to Gaza.

We could have built Gaza 1/3rd of a charging station with that money
