I'm surprised no one mentioned that he was on at least one Miami Vice episode as a sailor murdered by a psycho sex performer/prostitute. The episode was "Little Miss Dangerous" (1986).

 i met him on the set of Training Day and I said "Game Over Man" to him. He was a goofy dude, very light hearted.

That sucks he was worried about his upcoming heart surgery.
The Titanic and Aliens star passed away on Saturday, after a heart surgery had complications post-op and he suffered a fatal stroke, according to TMZ. Director Doug Liman, who worked with Paxton in Edge of Tomorrow, said the actor was worried about his upcoming surgery, the NY Daily News reported. Liman said Paxton wrote him an email that said: 'Thanks for the good wishes. It will help me face this ordeal. Don't worry "Sgt Farrell" will be ready to report for duty.' Well fuck the doctors and staff who screwed that up. No excuse for that sort of thing. A fatal stroke in post-op? Pretty standard stuff to try and avoid.

I really enjoyed his acting. He always seemed like a genuinely good person. I didn't come away with the impression that he was a typical hollywood liberal but that may just be my lack of familiarity.
Whatever his political standing, RIP. He was one of my favorite characters in the Alien franchise. |
