I'm surprised no one mentioned that he was on at least one Miami Vice episode as a sailor murdered by a psycho sex performer/prostitute. The episode was "Little Miss Dangerous" (1986).

i met him on the set of Training Day and I said "Game Over Man" to him. He was a goofy dude, very light hearted.

Wow.

I really liked his work.......

Remember the spike haired punk from The Terminator? Very small early role.......

He and Michael Biehn were fun to watch. I was hoping he'd reprise his role as Hudson along with Biehn in Alien 5.

That sucks he was worried about his upcoming heart surgery.

The Titanic and Aliens star passed away on Saturday, after a heart surgery had complications post-op and he suffered a fatal stroke,
according to TMZ.
Director Doug Liman, who worked with Paxton in Edge of Tomorrow, said the actor was worried about his upcoming surgery, the NY Daily News reported. Liman said  Paxton wrote him an email that said: 'Thanks for the good wishes.
It will help me face this ordeal. Don't worry "Sgt Farrell" will be
ready to report for duty.' The actor was expected to work with the director again in a sequel of the original
2014 action film as character Master Sergeant Farell. Complications from surgery

That sucks.  He was one of those actors that never really stood out as a great onscreen presence, but seemed to be everywhere and did a good job with the roles he had.

Sorry to hear.
I had thought that he looked poorly in the last couple of films I saw him in, but wrote it off to the usual passage of time and how we recall actors in their earlier years...

Lance Henrikson is another.

Ripley later reactivated Bishop in order to access the EEV's black box recorder, learning from him that there had been a Xenomorph aboard the Sulaco, that it was now on the planet with them, and that this information had been transmitted directly to Weyland-Yutani. After giving Ripley the information she wanted, Bishop asked to be disconnected, stating that while he could be repaired, he would never be the state-of-the-art android he once was; Ripley obliged him.[7] His remains were later retrieved by the Weyland-Yutani Bio-Weapons Divison that arrived on the planet to capture Ripley and the Xenomorph, headed by Bishop's designer Michael Bishop.[14]

I don't think euthanasia qualifies as being killed by an Alien.

I just watched True Lies the other day, him and Tom Arnold were fucking hilarious.  I miss action movies that don't take themselves seriously.

Well fuck the doctors and staff who screwed that up.  No excuse for that sort of thing.  A fatal stroke in post-op?  Pretty standard stuff to try and avoid.

Sucks. Great actor.

Funny, I was actually watching "Titanic" on AMC last night.  Never would have thought I'd wake up and find out Bill is dead.

I've got a lot of his movies in my library.  I think 2017 will be worse than 2016 as far as celebrity deaths go, at least when it comes to the ones that I follow.

I really enjoyed his acting.  He always seemed like a genuinely good person. I didn't come away with the impression that he was a typical hollywood liberal but that may just be my lack of familiarity.

Whatever his political standing, RIP.  He was one of my favorite characters in the Alien franchise.
