A U.S. defense official confirmed to Fox News that the Iranian-backed Houthis shot down a US MQ-9 Reaper drone near the Yemeni coast, as the Israel-Hamas war continues. "We can confirm that a U.S. military MQ-9 remotely-piloted aircraft was shot down while in international airspace over international waters off the coast of Yemen," the official said. "U.S. Central Command officials are assessing the incident.” The MQ-9 Reaper drone was reportedly surveilling Yemen when a Houthi militia fired at it. The drone is estimated to cost around $30 million. |

with what? Whats the cruising altitude of a reaper?
Reapers, like other UAVs, are able to fly at an altitude of 50,000 ft (15 km) and can loiter over targets for about 24 hours, making them useful for surveillance missions. Crucially, all of this occurs with a flight crew that remains based in the United States, away from danger. View Quote Again, what in the shit are they using to hit that? |

Quoted: So bomb the shiy out of the houthi retards. View Quote Seriously. They have been getting away with shit for a while. It would get us back in the good graces of the Saudis as well. Like everything else, the Biden administration will fuck this up and do nothing or send a strongly worded letter apologizing for flying in international airspace. |

Unclear what type of SAM was used to down it, likely a Saqr-1/2 (358) loitering SAMs or R-73/27/77. Video recorded on one of the Houthis many Iranian/Chinese made ground based FLIRs

Honestly we shouldn't even be there. We are not the worlds police force. That whole area needs to sort it's self out on it's own.

"The Biden administration removed the Houthis from the US list of terrorist groups in 2021. "
LOL. |

Wasn’t the left screaming about the humanitarian crisis in Yemen where Saudi Arabia was attacking the poor Houthi minority?

Surprise - they can. |

I wonder when one of those Drones get shot do the controls vibrate real good like the Microsoft Force Feedback or Xbox controllers do?
Then, does the Drone pilot get in trouble or just put another quarter in (hit reset) and it player up! Back in the game. Lastly, 24 hours to stay on station for visuals, I hope that thing has cruise control. |
