I know we had a few threads on this already but what is the current purposed law.
I had Fox news on mute when it aired just a few min ago. Said something about dec when it would be announced or take affect. (only sentence I heard) |

In the other room but did hear them mention everyone with a bump stock will need to turn them in within 90 days after the executive order is signed.

I saw it as well but had the mute on.
All the non FL GD ARF members made fun of Florida when they ban bump stocks. The rest of the US will be ban. In Florida we are not allowed to purchase rubber bands or pants with belt loops. I wear Yoda pants and drive the speed limit. |

So where do owners join the class action for a violation of their 5th and 14th amendment rights?

No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may, by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability. Section 4. The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. But neither the United States nor any State shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave; but all such debts, obligations and claims shall be held illegal and void. Section 5. The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.[1] |

Plans are all over the internet on how to make one in your garage.
Banning something does not make it magically disappear. There are plans on how to make auto sears, explosives, poisons, bump stocks and hell, even biological weapons (crud, but effective to a smaller degree) All this is, is the government camel getting it's nose further under the tent of freedom. |

Even the nut case gun grabbers have been quoted in various news interviews that this is going to be caught up in court before it would ever be implemented.
Even if they have the companies list that showed who bought them, they would need to secure warrants to come get them if someone didn't turn it in. The compliance level if put into place is not going to be what they might think, just the attempt to try and do it this way has many ramifications on a lot of other things that any president now and in the future might think they could get away with. |

EO = Lawsuit/Injunction until it goes through the courts 2A/5A.
BATFE = Lawsuit and they will have to explain why a machine gun is defined as ‘X’ and a bump stock while not under the definition of ‘X’ is ‘X’ because ummm....... ‘the children’. States = do what they want because they have not defined a machine gun and have not been 2A/5A challenged yet in court. They are going to have a tough time with destroy and or turn in with no compensation with respect to ownership and not installed. Interesting to watch this one unfold. |

It is sure a good thing the gov is stepping up to make us safe from a piece of plastic which possibly may have been used in one crime. I feel safer. Thanks Obama, err I mean Trump.

If we allow this and are not aggressively responding to this stupid ruling or whatever the hell it may be, don’t think Dems aren’t paying attention.
If a piece of plastic can be banned there’s nothing to stop them from just passing an outright ban, no grandfathering on whatever the fuck they want. Think about that. |

Yes someone will sue, and lose... because the .gov's justification for banning bump stocks is identical to their regulating/outlawing full-auto. "Just compensation " may be a problem for their plan though. But easily fixed. |
