Quoted: Nope. Too nice/valuable a chunk of real estate to let go of. Second part is their decision. They can work out a deal with Mexico where they can all move to Baja MX and create "New California" View Quote Completely agreed. A people with honor would say "we're out and we're going to fight you if you say no." Newsom and his compatriots are people without honor. I got to meet some actual California secessionists a few years back in Palm Springs. When I asked how they planned on stopping me and few dozen of my professional unconventional warfare friends from making their "country" unlivable, they stared at me like a cat trying to do math. |

They can secede and the next day we can invade and occupy them.

If California can separate from the USA, then Northern California can separate from them. This is something they've wanted to do for awhile. Then how much water do they have?

They truly have no idea. We keep a quiet, low profile, especially in the big cities and in certain social circles. I do business with some big movers and shakers in the CA dem party. Just do my job, listen to their political ramblings and chuckle internally. (and collect my checks.. Gimme dat money, I got guns to buy). If they only knew. |

From the `"article":
Speaking on MSNBC, Governor Gavin Newsom said that he would use the bulk purchasing power of California “as a nation-state” to acquire the hospital supplies that the federal government has failed to provide. California chose their leader poorly. Along with State's Rights, there is also State's Responsibility. Ultimately it is his fault Cal. was not prepared. How can he claim Nation-State status if they cannot prepare and provide for themselves? |

You know, the house would move pretty far right without California's 53 representatives. Only 6 of which are republicans.
I don't think they've thought this plan through. |

Quoted: Another fake article from another Marxist Hack from Rolling Stone and the DNC. Francis Wilkinson writes editorials on politics and U.S. domestic policy for Bloomberg Opinion. He was executive editor of the Week. He was previously a writer for Rolling Stone, a communications consultant and a political media strategist. LOL...not biased is he.. View Quote Some of you really are reading into something that isn't there and watching your reactions and the way "it should play out" is FUCKING HILARIOUS!!! The self-adulating Communist who wrote that opinion piece may fornicate with himself. He believes that California is the blueprint for America.

Y'all remember that thread about why CA's death toll is so low?
They are using their funds to buy supplies that the federal gov failed to provide, and exporting to states in need. CA isn't sliding into the ocean, the rest of the country is. One thing I will have to give Jerry Brown credit for, that 17 billion dollar rainy day fund sure came in handy. Here's a neat breakdown of which states are the most dependent on Federal aid. https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2020-04-09/california-declares-independence-from-trump-s-coronavirus-plans |

Let them leave, invade and make them a vassal territory with no rights.

BUILD THAT WALL!
Between AZ and CA. Cut off their water, expel their representatives, withdraw our military and support. Fuck em. |

Lol, i got one word that will drop him to his knees begging for help.

cut off the water, electricty, and of course any federal money and since a new nation... make them pay tarrif to ANY product they export to the rest of the USA
pull all military bases out and watch them become a 3rd world country in a year. nice to dream but then look at the source, Bloomberg magazine or some junk source |
|

Fuck no they are not going anywhere.
They are not a nation and never will be. My grandmother's grandfather went to war to secede from the union and lost. I aim to be on the winning side this time. |

ALL of it stays with the USA if Cali tried seceding. |

Ok let California become its own nation. And we can then welcome the State of Jefferson into ours. |
|
|
Maybe they'll distance all the way out. And take New York with them. The country would be near perfect. Many of the assholes would move there.
And they'd still sell us their stuff, if we needed it. |
|
Quoted: Didn’t we fight a war about states declaring themselves a separate nation? View Quote In this case I'd be ecstatic if we let them go. As long as .......... they take that dang 9th Federal Circus Court of Appeals with them. And we have zero diplomatic relations with those commies. The benefits would be astronomical. Nancy Pelosi, Diane Feinstein would lose their seats in the congress and senate and have to return to their wretched, communist country of origin. Wait, Maxine Waters would have to go too. Yes! Do it, do it now! |
|
None of their senators or reps count at the fed.gov level and they have 0 electoral college votes. Fine.

Quoted: Brewing Civil War you say? Good. View Quote Hell No! No stupid Civil War BS. Just let them go! In fact kick them out as fast as possible. They're their own country and we don't want or need any diplomatic relations at all with them. Build that Big Beautiful Wall from Brownsville to south Oregon border with california to the Pacific Ocean. If, someday we decide we want a Big Beautiful Door, then we think about making one in the future. One with a Big Beautiful Lock. |

It may have already been stated, but they can have at it...
They no longer get votes in the House or Senate. They can choose one (Pelosi, Schiff, Feinstein, Harris, etc.) to be the CA ambassador to the US, but they will no longer carry any weight/influence. And they can buy themselves out of the Union by first paying back all the bailouts the rest of the US has invested in CA’s shitty communist decisions. |
|
A whole lot of federal funds went into building Cal highways, airports, schools, ect, ect.
Cal will need to repay those funds to the federal government if they are going to claim sole ownership of those US government funded assets. Since Cal does not have nuclear weapons, their politicians are largely irrelevant and can be eliminated with the press of a button. Clear things up any? |

Quoted: The people don't support a nation state in CA. The governor is waging his own act of treason and will fail. You withhold the virus checks and see if the people want to back Gov. Newsom. They don't need all those federally provided meds and ventilators either. Newsom is just talking out his ass like typical Socialists do. The fact some here are rooting for him shows just how shallow some people are. View Quote Pelosi gave him his orders to follow. |

Typical back stabbing lying liberal cunt he is. He has been playing nice with Trump and now it is piss on Trump time and blame the feds for what he should have done to protect his citizens instead of protecting the citizens of other nation who do not belong here.
