It’s probably a gangbanger flashing his gang sign, but they say it’s a white supremacy thing cause it makes for a better story.

It means he gets to punch everyone who saw the broadcast. View Quote It’s popular again because hipsters love nostalgia and kids can’t come up with anything new. My 16 year old brother literally did tried to catch me looking last weekend like I was born yesterday or something. The funny thing is, he probably realized he was on TV and was initially going to flash the bird; but then decided to tame it down to a childish joke so he wouldn’t get in trouble. Whoops! Fun fact - not a lot of white supremacists in Chicago. Last time they investigated a possible case of white supremacy here, it didn’t go that well... |

We used to play that if you were able to stick your finger through it then you got to punch the other kid.

I've been a white guy for about 62 years now.
How come I'm just learning there's a white power hand signal? On the other hand, I found out about black power hand signals (raised/clenched fist) when I was a teen ager back in the early 70's. If there is a difference in how they are viewed then there are the real signs of racism. What happened to being treated equally? It will never work as a one way street. But then, people with any amount of sense know that. |

There was a Coastie last year that caught hell for doing it to a coworker and was seen on national TV at the time.

That's a white power sign now? When I was a kid, we'd do that to get someone to look at it, and hit them on the shoulder when they did. If the "victim" stuck their finger in the circle and got it out without getting caught when you closed it, they got to hit you.
