Artillery rounds and armored vehicles are not very useful on the high seas. I do not think we have given away any warships nor their munitions. But you knew that.
Which is good, because according to some of the latest war games we would run out of some types of precision missiles in a week .

That page layout is terrible to the point it's unreadable.
I don't disagree, it's like they tried to do a power point in a written article.

Read the one further down that explain it better. A lot of people seemed to misinterpret what I was saying.

There was news article after article earlier this year on how it will take the US years rebuild inventories of critical munitions that were sent to Ukraine.  Are you saying that is not true and in just a couple months the US restocked all munitions?

Maybe they'll lend us back some tomahawks, SM-3's, submarines, and fifth gen aircraft etc. if we get into our own shooting war.

Seems to be a lot of cross pollination regarding the topic of "Europe won't survive winter" and "The US doesn't have weapons/will starve if war with China happens" from the same posters in this thread. Make of that what you will.

3 attack subs off Indonesia could turn off every factory and lightbulb in China.

They have no non nuclear ability to project force on a meaningful scale.

LOL. They import half their food and energy. We're net exporters of both.

Who owns Smithfield Foods?  They are biggest pork food company in the US..

WH Group, a Chinese company, does.

China is also the 3rd largest market for US beef.  If they wanted to they could reign havoc on our meat industry.

As for ports, it takes 2 for shipping to work.  China doesn't control US ports but they own the ports in 53 other countries.

You do understand what that actually means, China being a market for our beef.

It means that if we stop sending beef, they stop having beef.

Yeah, but who imports more food than it can produce?

One of those numbers is bigger than the other.

People who dismiss the UKR land weapons suck don't understand the mil supply chain.

Energetics, fuse components,  propulsion components,  seekers,  GPS chips. A shit load of that is going to be common or have common components in arty,  atgm,  jdams,  ASMs, SM6 and 2, torpedoes and so on.

Plus, if Xi dies invade, he will likely get a toe hold and like Putin, failure won't be an option.  If one in ten supply/landing ships and Y20s get through he will keep at it until he wins or is assassinated and that means the ROC army will need our ground ordnance supplies as well as fighters and fuel

Sounds illegal. I know that China claims waters outside of the normal 12-mile zone, but that doesn't make it a legit claim, and I'm pretty sure that the Taiwan Strait is wider than 12 miles...

Sail a carrier group through there and see if they want to stop and inspect it.

Don't even bother.  It takes way to long to explain how things like bilateral agreements, vessels without nationality, and ROA/ROV are different from the original topic, and no one pays attention anyways.

No one really cares about how TTS is different from a contiguous zone or EEZ, and what authority a coastal state has in each.  It's all the same to most.

China plays the long game. The problem is, they have playing this long game for a long time and it's almost time for them to cash in. They've made deals with other countries, very bad countries, and will have everything they need to usurp the us as world superpower. We'll one day find out what exactly those deals were, ie finishing up Iran's nuclear weaponization in exchange for war allegiance, bottlenecking the food supply by buying up us farmland that they've been doing for many years now, more and nastier bio weapons releases for the uncooperative to soften them up before invasion, hell even safe passage in most scenarios here in the US.... They've obviously got our "leaders" in their pocket for a reason.

Their population problem is a ticking timebomb as well, advancing any timelines forward while they still have world domination invasion numbers. They can't wait much longer to make the big move. I think Taiwan will happen within a year or two, as they don't want to risk a non-corrupt us politician election (we many know elections are already in the bag, but they likely don't trust it). They want to move while Biden et all are still in place.

For a ground conflict, which would happen on Taiwan, the US has already depleted critical arms by sending them to Ukraine and isn't in a position to kick off another ground based conflict.  Sure we could sink some ships but that does nothing to end a conflict.   Plus you know Biden will just bend the knee to China.

Do they have 35 million single men with no possible prospect of ever getting a woman that could serve as fodder for the rest of the military like China does?  That argument is made about Russia vs Ukraine, that Russia will ultimately win because they millions more men that could be sacrificed.

By your theory the US should have wiped out all the Taliban in Afghanistan in a year since we have a significantly superior arms industry and controlled the air.  At the end of the day it still comes down to how many boots does someone have on the ground controlling the space.  At the highest level the US had around 100,000 troops in Afghanistan while having air superiority and advanced arms.  That bodes well for Taiwan resistance fighters but if China orders millions in front of their guns then it we know who would ultimately win.

And?  They switch back to rice for a year or import more from Brazil and Australia which is where a lot of the US imported beef comes from.  China built a super port in Brazil to handle all their shipping needs.  Unlike the US, China has been working hard to not be dependent on a single country which is why they control ports in 53 countries.  They would still get food.

Exactly. They have to go get food.

And where do you get the idea that the US hasn't been working on becoming independent? We're net exporters of food and energy. That wasn't the case 20 years ago.

Currently running 5 page thread titled "Pentagon Officials Are Realizing US Munitions Stockpiles Aren't Nearly Big Enough To Take On China".

"I'm concerned. I know the secretary is   we've got a ways to go to make sure our stockpiles are prepared for the real contingencies," Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley told the House Armed Services Committee on March 29.

I guess the Pentagon is too stupid to realize they just have to use a submarine to sink a couple Chinese ships and the whole event is over.
