They're foamers that added some stock picture to some story nobody knows if anything is being said is correct. I live about 2 miles away from KSMN and drove by it to get to work for 40 years. There is no tower structure in the wooded hills at KSMN as the runway picture shows. I wouldn't believe shit out of anything about this barroon deal. |

There was a Russian shootdown of a UFO/balloon a few weeks ago, I wonder if it's related to all this.

View Quote Not sure where the landing photo is from, the snow is about right, but that tower (church?) in the background isn't somewhere I can identify in Madison's east side. https://www.thedrive.com/uploads/2023/02/13/AESIR12_3-scaled.jpg <-- landing photo It might be Mitchell Field where the refueling wing is out of. In any case, if that photo of the plane is the one that shot something down, it's either got a swapped pilot in it or it's not the 115th, or the person that wrote the caption is just confused or wrong. |

I hit up HyVee but recently that store is getting spicey with hood rats. They cleaned up the hobo campers across the street. If you want to catch a stray bullet it's the place to be. Couple of years ago I was at HomoDepot and their big front window was broken. Apparently some Madison cop wasn't sure of her backstop from 500 yards away and shot it out with her AR. They could have 2-4 Duluth 16's hidden as strike force jets in the hangers. I'll have to ask a close friend who is a 16 pilot transitioning into the 35's. |

Do E-3s have FLIR/EO sensor for long range ID? And surely some of these fighters had targeting pods, shouldn't there be some imagery of these things at this point? I could see if they said they have it and aren't releasing it because it's classified, just seems strange a big story like this, all those assets on it and no pictures.

Quoted: The Pentagon has refused to rule out that the recent unidentified objects shot out of the sky could be aliens - after the latest was gunned down over Lake Huron today. US Air Force General Glen VanHerck said that intelligence services are exploring all avenues - including that the three most recent objects could be linked to extraterrestrials. The shoot down on Sunday occurred after the 'octagonal' object flew near a sensitive US military site in Montana - and had 'potential surveillance capabilities.' An F-16 fighter jet shot down the unknown aerial object from around 20,000ft over the Great Lakes at at 2:42pm - after previously destroying two other crafts over Alaska and Canada, and a Chinese balloon over South Carolina. The senior Air Force executive said they are still unsure how the three objects were staying aloft, as they currently have unknown propulsion systems. He added: 'We're calling them objects, not balloons, for a reason.' VanHerck said that unlike the Chinese spy balloon, these three were all similar in size and speed when they were gunned out of airspace. One reason for their removal from the sky was because they threatened civilian aviation. As the Pentagon more closely scrutinizing US airspace, authorities are not ruling out that there may be more shoot downs in coming days. https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2023/02/13/01/67613495-11742875-image-a-1_1676250599519.jpg This is the image of the 148th Fighter Wing F-16C that shot down the unidentified object over Lake Heron today. The fighter jet is pictured landing back at Madison missing an AIM-9X Speaking about the most recent object shot down on Sunday, a Department of Defense spokesperson said: 'Based on its flight path and data we can reasonably connect this object to the radar signal picked up over Montana, which flew in proximity to sensitive DOD sites. 'We did not assess it to be a kinetic military threat to anything on the ground, but assess it was a safety flight hazard and a threat due to its potential surveillance capabilities. Our team will now work to recover the object in an effort to learn more.' This is the fourth object the US has shot down in eight days. More View Quote Looks like an Aim-120, not an Aim9x. |
