My journey quitting Taco Bell started when they hired Lil' Nas X for an ad. Couldn't get past the whole gay satanist pedo vibe of that dude.
And I hate it. I have a ton of nostalgia for Nachos Bell Grande and cheap Bean Burritos. |

They dropped too many items that I liked, so I stopped going.
Probably for the best. |

Quoted: Freaking two front war between the tender tummies and the "it use'ta cost..." crowd. If a $5 meal box is hurting your guts or bank, are you really in a position to judge? View Quote None of the Taco Bells around me have the 5$ boxes. They haven't had them for a couple years. Lowest costing box is like 8$ or 9$ now. |

Quoted: Is it still cheap? Nope. Is it actually food? Probably not. Do I have a weak stomach? Not in the slightest. Does it taste good? Everytime. Also, THE ENCHIRITO IS BACK! View Quote Weekly I would stop and pick up dinner for my daughter and myself at Taco Bell. Between Taco Bell and my house is a little Mexican joint that's really a pick up place with 2 tables. Well the Food 100x better, bigger servings, and cheaper. |

I’m a fan. It scratches that trash food itch. Crunchwrap supreme and a chalupa for me please.

Old fashion burrito supreme for me. I ask for extra sauce packets. One time they gave me three for free……..you know the rest.

Quoted: Del Taco has better green sauce, and is cheaper. Plus they have coupons. View Quote With coupons and their specials you can eat dirt cheap. Like I posted above, two chicken tacos, three beef tacos, and a spicy chicken burrito for under $3. Coupons plus Taco Tuesday. It tasted way better than Taco Bell, too. I don't get the love some people have for Taco Bell. |

If you can, try some Del Taco.
It’s more expensive but that’s because the meat is really meat. And because it tastes better. |

Quoted: It's weird how expensive it is relative to McDs. View Quote Heck, not here. Dinner for 2 from both places: Attached File Attached File |

Seems to make a big difference from one store to another.
Mine is run by some of the happiest butterball-shaped Mexicans you could ever hope to meet. Food is decent. Another one near the range is occupied by what looks like meth-heads on work-release. Food is cold, and only one flavor of soda works in the soda machine. Floor is like a glue trap. |

I likes me some Taco Bell on occasion. Not great food, certainly NOT Mexican food but it has its own taste. Often, if I have been out of the U.S., I will stop at Taco Bell on my way home from the airport. There is just something so “American” about it.
BTW- The Chicken Power Menu Bowl isn’t a horrible choice if you are watching your diet. |

Mrs has a thing for Taco Bell lunch every 2 weeks of so and I always go fetch for her and normally don't pick up anything for myself.
Decided to try their grilled cheese burrito the other day and was quite surprised how good it was. (even though the outcome was a bit painful) |

We have one that opened maybe 8 months ago. Gone a few times and still nothing is appealing.
20 years ago their menu was pretty good from what I remember. |

I actually had Taco Bell last night. First time in maybe a year. It was fine... scratched that itch. Maybe I'll want some more in 2024.
Some guy at work keeps praising their breakfast. Have not tried that. |

Honestly the Taco Bell steak quesadilla is one of my favorite food items anywhere.

Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burritos for $2. They're addicting.

I actually got a late night TB craving a week or so ago. Went to the closest one, pulled into the drive thru, only to be greeted with “welcome to Taco Bell, sorry there is a 20 minute wait on everything”.
Fuck that, I just drove away. |

I've been eating at Taco Bell since the first one opened in Phoenix AZ in the '60s. It was much better when they cooked food in-house instead of the precooked food that comes in bags.

Quoted: Taco Bell is just okay. Del Taco blows it out of the water and is still cheap. The other day I got a spicy grilled chicken burrito, two grilled chicken tacos, and three beef tacos for under $3 before tax. Can't beat that. I worked at Taco Bell in the early to mid 80s. Best job ever. The only things that came pre-made or canned were the nacho cheese, green sauce, red sauce, black olives and the tortillas. The meat, cheese, lettuce, onions and tomatoes were all fresh. We got the beans in 80lb bags, and had to sort the junk from the field out. Rocks, grass, corn etc got "sorted." Then we'd wash them, put ~5 lbs (forget the number) of beans in the pressure cooker with a pound of lard, a cup of salt (I think) and x number of gallons.
I still eat there occasionally. |
