DA only went forward on misdemeanors

Sorry bro. Criminal justice reform is the wave of the future apparently. Ironic he should complain about this since he lives in the woke capital of Ohio.

I guess Chapelle just doesn't understand how they deal with each other.

Quoted: DA only went forward on misdemeanors View Quote Yet more in a very long string of evidence that liberal prosecutors just don't care about black on black violence. And seemingly, at least some blacks don't either... as witnessed by the black pundits that came out and defended Will Smith slapping Chris Rock. |

Quoted: DA only went forward on misdemeanors https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/dave-chappelle-battery-suspect-appears-192743847.html View Quote Actually the DA George Gascon officially DECLINED to prosecute the case and then the city attorney's office (who can only handle misdemeanors) stepped in and filed a misdemeanor on the guy. The arraignment coincided with the DA’s office releasing a document explaining why it declined the case. According to the worksheet, a “slow-motion review of video footage” showed Lee was not brandishing the weapon when he hurled himself at Chapelle. The DA’s office said it was only after Lee ran backstage that he allegedly reached in his waistband for the weapon that was knocked out of his hands by a security guard. |

Does Chapelle voice his complaint when the Soros DA's have let loose multiple violent felons that attack non celebrities?
|
|
Lol. He put the quarter in the juke box now he has to sing the tune he paid for.
|
|
If democrats want to set legal precedent that physically attacking someone is a misdemeanor, fine, i accept your terms. That street goes both ways.

Gascon is DA
If it was SF's DA Chelsea Boudin, he'd ask Chapelle if he'd settle for an apology instead. |

Dave should just post his bond if he's not already out on it for round two.

Quoted: Dave should just post his bond if he's not already out on it for round two. View Quote If Dave contributed to BLM Global he paid for the guy to be released. Refom LA Jails is owned by Bowers, who is a founder of BLM. It lobbies to reduce sentences for people of color. So, basically, Chapelle paid for the guy not to be charged with a felony. |

Rich people being killed by these career criminals is probably the only way prosecutions will resume.

Fuck Dave Chapelle (for the record, I don't like that he got attacked... throw the book at that psycho).

Quoted: It's not precedent. It's discretion. And it won't go in your favor. Ever. View Quote When the majority of Americans realize that, what the government will or won't prosecute won't actually matter. Government will no longer be recognized as the legitimate arbiter of justice. Which, frankly, it probably shouldn't be. |

I'm a little surprised, given Dave lives in Yellow Springs, OH and he should know the Police there are hog tied and can't enforce the law...
|

Someone needs to explain to Chappelle that black men do t get charged with that sort of stuff.
He always talks like it’s 1855 and they lynch every black man that commits a crime. He gets pushed on stage and wants a felony. I ran into black guys that were released for murder on parole at 24yrs old. Little different when you’re the victim huh Dave? |

It was misdemeanor battery. Being a celebrity doesn't change that fact.
For the record, I like Chapelle's comedy. EDIT: Also, the force used to stop the threat wouldn't be kosher for anyone with a badge... |

That changes things. |

Dave Chapelle isn't "on the team", unlikely a prosecutor in California is going to charge a guy committing aggravated assault / attempted murder on camera against someone not on team commie appropriately.
|
|
Like his last special, “The Closer” (2021) where the gay guy in the bar calls the cops on him…suddenly he’s White, rather than gay.:
“Gay people are minorities until they need to be white again” When Dave is attacked, he becomes “white” and demands the ruffian be charged as a felon. lol |
