In terms of any sort of military equipment.

No but we should have adopted the ekranoplane just because they’re cool as shit

I think there's at least case of male on male rape in the history of the US military.
|
|
Didn't they invent the helmet-mounted missile targeting system for fighters?
There is a few things in rocketry they were the first to do as well |
|
Vodka and/or drunken bar brawls? I mean we do bar fights better though....
|
|
I don't think we adopted much. IF anything we reverse engineered and improved upon the design with superior technology and building materials. A lot of their stuff was pretty crude in terms of manufacturing imo.

I may not be remembering correctly, but Have Blue stealth was based off of a Soviet mathematicians works

Quoted: I may not be remembering correctly, but Have Blue stealth was based off of a Soviet mathematicians works View Quote You are correct. A soviet mathematician worked out the equations you could use to model how much light would refract off of different geometric shapes. Soviet military looked at it, said "this has no military purposes, go ahead and publish it worldwide" because apparently the commies forgot that radar and light are both electromagnetic phenomena. Some dude at Lockheed saw it and snapped it right up to make the Have Blue model. |

Our Assault Bridging equipment was reverse engineered from their stuff.

View Quote That thing is badass and should be standard issue like 40mm. I also think a modernized PKM would be sweet. Not the mk48 but something lighter. |

Quoted: In terms of any sort of military equipment. View Quote Yes. We literally copied some of their mobile bridging equipment during the Cold War. In more modern terms, we had RPG-7s produced in US under contract for FMA. |

Quoted: The Russians didn’t even invent vodka; the Polish did. View Quote Top 3 vodka I’ve ever tried was at a party at the Russian embassy. Bartender didn’t know English so I just kept pointing at my glass for more. I tried asking what brand it was but I couldn’t understand him so I guess theoretically it could been Polish. Anyway, what Polish vodka does GD recommend? My step Dad was a Smirnoff guy and my Dad drank the Swedish brands like Absolute |

Oh of course, this is always bidirectional.
I can think of two: Coaxial, counter-rotating rotors on a helicopter. IRST mode (Su-27). |
