Yes, absolutely. When I was a kid, we lived in an old farmhouse, some parts were over 100 years old. On quiet nights, you could hear footsteps going from the bedroom upstairs to the living room. They were clear and distinct. One night during a sleepover, many kids heard it. When i met my first wife, she said her great great grandmother had died in the house, and that she had gotten up and walked from the bedroom to the living room and collapsed on a couch and died. After we were married, the footsteps were never heard again. Another time, a buddy's daughter was about 5 and ran to her mother saying the man on the fireplace was in the yard. She looked out the window and no one was there. She asked the kid who she was talking about and the daughter brought her to the fireplace to show her a picture of her grandpa who had died in a fire the year she was born. She said she had seen him before and she mimiced how he would stand. He always kind of had both hands jammed in his pockets and slouched a little... There were no photos of him in that stance, but we all remembered how he would stand that way. |

Yes. Long story but the short way to tell it is two times after my father in law died (a few days the first time and I was by myself while the second time was several years later and my wife was sitting across from me) we got a very strong smell of his chewing tobacco. He mixed Apple Jack, Union Workman and Skoal together and the smell was very distinctive. One time, while driving up on the mountain where they lived I saw a Confederate Officer on a big whitish/gray horse. Uniform, yellow sash around his waist, saber/scabbard on his belt, in the middle of the road up the hill from me. As I rounded the curve he wheeled around on the horse and disappeared into the bushes beside the road. I stopped when I got there and there was no sign of broken/disturbed limbs or disturbed leaves on the steep bank going from the ditch up to the original contour of the hill side before the road was made. I checked and no one up there knew anyone who was a Civil War reenactor. A few years later my mother in law saw the same Confederate Officer on the horse in the same section of road. After I saw him I got hold of a book about Civil War battles fought in WV and found out the Confederate unit from Lewisburg had marched that road on their way to the battle at Carnifex Ferry. I used to wonder if he was one of the guys that didn't make it back to Lewisburg. |

Another incident was two contractors pulling cable under the oldest part of the oldest hospital in the city. Under the hospital was a basement, but below that were a mishmash of rooms, some accessible, some not, that had been part of the original hospital. One of the rooms that wasn't accessible was the old morgue, and there was a chase to fish wire across it that was about 8 inches around. One contractor was on one side, feeding CAT6, the other was on the other side pulling it. All of a sudden the wire starts getting pulled faster from both side and jerking violently. They were both yelling at each other to knock it off and they were both denying anything. When the jerking stopped they couldn't pull the cable through either side. There was a giant knot inside the morgue room. They finally got it out and the wire was a mess, I seent it. They refused to work down there again. I knew them both well, stand up guys that had pulled miles of cable for me and thhey were absolutely shaken. |

| I was on a tour once at the colosseum in Rome and someone asked the tour guide if there’s ghosts sightings there. He laughed and said half a million people died horrible deaths in the colosseum and yet there aren’t any ghosts, yet Americans believe that one person died in a house and it’s haunted. He had a point. |

With all the ghost hunting shows that are on TV, and all the advanced equipment the ghost hunters have access to, it would seem that they would have found something scientifically verifiable by now if ghosts DID exist. However you can prove something does exist, or is true, but you cannot prove a negative. IOW you cannot prove that something does not exist, or that something will never happen. All you can prove is that no one has found one YET. |

I've seen/heard some really weird shit that I just can't explain. Seems like it could be ghosts but at the same time I'm skeptical. If they are real, I won't be surprised. Same if they are not. |

I was a skeptic, but... back in 1997 we were living in a short term rental of an old house from the 18th century. I found it hard to explain how my water faucet handles turned 90 degrees and dispensed water by themselves. Nor how a drain plug took itself off the edge of the bathtub and inserted itself in the drain hole. Nor how a set of latched window shutters opened themselves. Nor our pets screaming bloody murder, and we can't see anything, but can feel a chill in the air. That was some spooky shit, let me tell you. |
My granddaughter is a funeral home director. She still does embalming and makeup. She said there's a lady that everyone who works there have seen. They've seen her sitting in the chapel area and caughtglimpsesof her wonderingaround building. She said one girl quit after a month.  She said on some nights working on bodies she's heard someone walking around inside. She thought a homeless person had gotten inside and was looking for a place to sleep. She went to check it out and the doors were locked and no one was there. Other nights, she said she's heard a body bags unzip in the cooler. Went and checked it out and saw nothing. She said that happens often in both the human and pet coolers. She said hearing body bags in the pet cooler unzip is weird. I said you don't think hearing body bags unzip in the human cooler isn't weird. She just struggled her shoulders. She said she's seen and heard some strange things. But she's got nerves of steal. We plan on doing a little ghost thing there one night. Using thermals, night vision and other stuff This is where she works. |

I have an investment property where several of the various tenants over 25 years mentioned it has a presence. What they have described is pretty much identical. This is not something I care to dwell on or discuss but it does make me wonder. When they have told me this I just listen in disbelief as why should the place be stigmatized when ghosts do not exist. I have not seen anything and I am not looking either. There is a possibility it will be a target of eminent domain and torn down. That is fine with me. |
| So here’s my story. I don’t believe in ghosts but had a strange incident about 6 weeks ago. Was about 2:30 am on a Monday morning and woke up thirsty. Got out of my room, went to the bathroom and took a piss, and started walking down my stairs to the kitchen for some water. I didn’t turn the lights on so I was walking through the entire house in the dark. My dog was in my bed with my wife, both my kids are in their rooms sleeping. I get to the bottom of the stairs into the living room and hear noise. It’s pretty loud. I immediately think someone is in the house. Frantically stumble over my kids toys looking for the light switch. Finally get it in and look around and there’s nobody here. However, my rocking recliner is slowly and continuously rocking at a steady pace. I’m watching it and it’s not stopping. Nobody had been downstairs in hours. It didn’t stop until I went up to it and stopped it. So my take from that is there’s a poltergeist in the house. |
