No. Never had any interest. I chose a different path with no regrets.
My wife does but has never worked in that field. It is a legit degree, but it has only opened doors for her real career field. One kid graduated with two bachelor degrees and his job is only tangential to them. Another case of a college degree only opening doors. He likes what he does, but it pays shit. His brother had been working on a degree part time while in the military and realized it had fuck-all to do with his career field. Being smart, hard working, and holding a high security clearance is far more valuable. He makes 3x what his brother does. |

If you got your Post 9/11 GI Bill, why not? Get paid to go to school for free.

I have a college receipt from Oklahoma State. I wouldn’t recommend a college degree to anyone who didn’t want to be a lawyer or doctor.

BA in Political Science with a Minor in Sociology..............and haven't used it yet, but done ok

I stopped with a BS degree. I should of switched to Engineering (related degree to mine) and continued with an MS, but I had a hard enough time finishing my BS degree. I hate the semester system. Basically, it's too slow and drawn out, so I would get bored. I do better with fast paced classes crammed into a very short time.

Quoted: Yes B.A. in Criminal Justice w/ a Minor in History. Wanted to go into law enforcement. But I make a lot more money pedaling auto parts View Quote My wife got her BA in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Business. She said she wanted to make crime pay. Crazy overachiever - BA in 3 years while working full time. Valedictorian of her graduating class and finished her MBA in 12 months. |

MS, BS, AS, 237 semester hours.
Yeah, I like universities and engineering. |
|
4 more classes an I could finish mine, but I'm not sure if I want or even need to.

I never went to College or University but have 3 international patents and a bunch of awards.
If I went to University I probably could have made money off of them, but I didn't, so I'm a lower middle class slob. |
|
I have 4 college degrees in the usual matter of succession. Gotta collect 'em all.

Yes, in the most useless subject possible before gender studies became a thing. My degree is in criminal justice. Never had a job that required a degree, never saw a job posting looking for that particular major. If you or someone you know is thinking about a CJ degree I advise you to get a degree in almost anything else. If you want to actually make money get training in welding, HVAC, machining, etc.

Never finished college.
Didn't stop me from retiring in my early 40's though. |

I have a BS and a MPA. I learned about stakeholder capitalism, technocracy, and other bullshit that made me hate what our government has become. Woodrow Wilson was a giant POS who created public administration policy and ideas that led to the country becoming super fucked. At least we also studied the Federalist papers. That was a really good class. Even though there was not a significant amount of wokeness in the program, you could see its tendrils beginning to work it's way into the program.

Dropped out of community college night school while working in a shipyard at 18. 11 years of shipyard later and love it. Supervisor for almost 6 years and $91k base salary before overtime. Was on track to retire at 55 until recently divorced

Quoted: If you're not ivy league it's all irrelevant to the elites. View Quote I am an Ivy….most “Elites” are NOT Ivy….but the Ivy League is massively over represented. In order GED BS (good state school) Undergraduate Cert (community college) Police Academy (community college) AS (community college) BBA (poorly rated state school) Graduate Certificate (Harvard) Masters (Harvard) Wife is an BS/MD/MBA. There is a graduate certificate I want from Northwestern right now, but I just can’t find the energy. Also, now that you can get a JD mostly online, that really appeals to me…but every time I want to do it, I have a drink and let the feeling pass. |

Bachelors in Communications. Four & a half years for a degree I never used.

BS in management.
I use it to my evil advantage at work. Not to many people at work that I went to an university. |

BS Mechanical Engineering
MS Materials Engineering MS Project Management I get to have fun playing with new toys and designing shit. I think I'm at 4 patents issued, another dozen maybe in the pipeline? Degrees allowed me to get a job I enjoy. Frankly, sometimes work feels like like work than home life. Tomorrow morning I'll sit down at my desk for a minute and breathe a little sigh of relief that things might make sense for a few minutes... At least until I open my email... |

A fair % of folks do not use their undergrad degree. I'm approaching 50 and mine helped get me my current job and has actually come in handy since. Never used it before then, though. Life is a funny thing. The only point of my Master's seems to continue to be allowing me to speak from supposed authority on topics never covered in the program. |

I have a BS in education and an AAS in surveying technology. The irony is I got the associates after the BS, boy it was weird sitting in class with kids I had been teaching the year before.

From forklift operator in a factory to Bachelor’s degree and then two Master’s degrees, published three books. Thank you, Jesus.

No, I would like to get one but working on one right now doesn't make sense financially.
