Got sick of waiting for my HSGI SlimGrip to get here, so I went to my LGS and picked up a Blue Alpha Gear belt since I’ve been wanting to try a two piece belt anyways. I like it so far, although I think I might move my TQ a little closer to my pistol.

Separated.

I did a Gap pistol pouch (2 pistol) and then two separate midlength rifle magazines. I am only using one right now but if I ever decide to try a competition with belt only the second one will come in handy.

That's the same question I had when putting my belt together.  More space in the belt vs ease of grabbing mags.  I went with the gap and separate pouches which was the right choice.

It actually works for me. I got a bit of a crunchy lower back. Also, you can thread the belt passed / over the MOLLE straps and direct mount to the belt.

I got it super cheap on the EE a couple years ago.

What's the Esstac pouch for Glock happy sticks? I've got a 2 pistol mag gap pouch but am ready to grab a few others.
What's a good pouch for 10 round AR mags? That could be useful for a hunting belt.

Here's a comparison, regular on right, midlength on left:

I'm not sure about 10 round, but 20s work good in an esstac shorty

Gap KYWI pouches will fit on MOLLE webbing.  The edges will overhang the next column on either side a little bit so it may be difficult or impossible to put it right next to another pouch.  Its not an issue on my battle belt because the curvature of the belt allows for room but it may be an issue on a flat surface like the front of a plate carrier.

Ok

G19 mags so I’d imagine the gap aids in reloads. Not gonna pack this belt with stuff. 2 pistol, 1 ar, blowout, pistol, and maybe a dump pouch.

Costing me money

Ordered the holster and a blowout pouch

Gotta go through my stuff and see what I can repurpose.

I don’t care about the mount or ride height. The screw pattern is the same on all of them. $40-60 for an ALS holster then another $35 for the QLS kit.

How did you attach that?

It’s a bent plate (90*) that fastens to ubl/ qls/ safariland holster and to the tq holster. Changes the forward cant to a negative cant.

Question for those who have Esstac mag pouches, either pistol or rifle: Since they are open topped and the description says they will fit 9mm and 45 mags, how loose are mags going to be in them? Obviously, Pmags are thicker than USGI and Glock 9mm mags are thicker than Beretta 92 mags.

I think they mean double stack 9mm, 40cal & 45cal magazines.  Like Glock 17/22 vs Glock 21, all should work in the standard, non 1911 carriers.  The Kywi inserts do a good job of placing tension on inserted mags.

Yep. PMAGs and USGI both work in rifle pouches and double stack work in pistol, but they do make 1911 pouches if that's your game.

Thanks. I didn't realize they had a tensioned stiffener in the body of the pouch. I was wondering how they kept Beretta/SIG mags in if you could also stick a Glock 9mm or even Glock 45ACP mag in it.
