I got two for $100, so I'm probably in the same boat. Gen 1 G17 frames. Just building one for now. Gonna do it all proper the first time, may do it "freestate" style next time.

Should I look into the over/under 16ga as anything worth shooting? Rick is saying negatory, I'm inclined to follow his wisdom alone, but I remember you had words about the Turks. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Turkish autoloaders are OK at best for someone who's going to go pheasant hunting a weekend a year and maybe shoot sporting clays at some corporate event in the summer. For serious use, they're a disposable shotgun. Turkish O/Us or SxS are like taking a Lada to the Concours d'Elegance. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Still sitting in my truck.
Still raining. I've eaten almost an entire bag of mandarins, mostly out of boredom. I won't be getting scurvy anytime soon. |

Only "AK" I can take out in public is a Saiga, unmodified. Only thing I did to one of mine (have 2) was to add the bullet guide, and file down the mag catch so I can use AK mags. No experience with any proper AK's tho. They've gotten so damn expensive, I really don't have a desire to at the moment.
