I used to own an FRT before the boating accident.
Does that count ? |

Had an MP5 at one time. Got it for about $6k, when the prices topped $25k, I sold it.

I’ll have to ask the ATF for their flavor of the week definition of a machine gun.

I went one better and I have a good buddy that owns multiple machine guns. Its great - he pays for 'em, he brings ammo, I get to shoot them, then he gets to clean them and ....
Much like boat ownership - you don't wanna own it and the hassles, you want a good friend who does :) |

No. I can't save fast enough to beat the artificial Huges Amendment inflation.

I sold all mine last year. It just got to where I didn't shoot em much any more, and they were taking up valuable safe space. But I don't regret the experience a bit, and am very thankful to have experienced it.
I'm in NOVA, don't own 100 acres, and the only place reasonably close I could go shoot it is about to close, so again, I'm very thankful for my experience and the timing of our ownership. |

I was three years old when the Hughes amendment passed. I should be able to buy a 4 position MP5 at Walmart if I wanted to.

I don’t own, I rent from time to time when I am feeling flush…

All “no” answers are tacit admissions to owning illegal machine guns.

For fucks sake. This is like asking a coworker how much money they make.
Decorum has gone by the wayside. |

Yes, I've owned a total of four, sold off two of them, doubled my money on those. If your thinking about buying one, do it.

The only F/A guns I owned were all Post Samples when I had my 07/02. I just wish I would have bought some Pre Samples before surrendering my FFL. Oh well.....

Quoted: Just curious the percentage of arfcom that has one. I have a lowly Mac-10. But I know machinegun ownership is not very high. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/42361/ABA741BD-8E95-4ED2-B903-E0C4B3825AA3-541112.jpg View Quote Yep. SWD M11/9 Got a lage upper for it like yours, too. |

For a brief period of time, I owned something that is "legally" a machine gun today.
I sold it because I was told a three position version was coming. It has not come. I am big sad. |

Sold my transferable Mac 10, M11/9, Sendra M16 and Ramo 1919 a couple years back. Still have a post sample M16, HK pack and Uzi at work.

Waiting for "free stamp sheengun weekend" with no pre-86 rules. Then maybe ill get to own some.

Quoted: Nope, no desire at current prices. View Quote Now they're (well an m16 anyways) as much as a boat, expensive side by side atv etc, although I am sure they'll be a good investment but with a family I'm not sure about buying a machinegun is in the cards |
