We have a Beagle. She is our second Beagle.
Anyone who has owned a Beagle knows that they NEED to sleep in the bed with their hoomans. People have tried and failed to crate train them, or trying to get them to sleep in a doggie bed, or putting them in another room or basement…all of those things fail miserably and the Beagle WILL win that war of attrition.
Nope, our beagle learned to sleep in a crate (but it took a month of howling before he gave up and accepted his place)
Had a no furniture rule for our 1st Beagle, crate every night. Then 1 evening I come into the Master to see my wife, sons, and the dog all lined up at the foot of the bed watching TV. Dog still went into crate at night (unlocked so I could let her outside without fumbling with it). Got so she would beat me back to the bed w/o me seeing or hearing her. At that point I caved, and three dogs later, they were/are all bed dogs.
