Quoted: Let's call this what it is: Fuck stealerships. In the year 2023 I should be able to log on to a website, order what I want, and then show up to a retail location in a month to finish paying for my vehicle so I can drive it home. Dealerships should not be involved in the car buying process except for final delivery and warranty work. View Quote Fuck the month shit I want it now wah! |

They should crank them out until they dont sell at msrp anymore

Quoted: Demon 170. I called two dealerships and that is the price over the already 100 grand. Pisses me right the fuck off that this continues to happen. It's not about the money, I have it to spend. It's the greediness of the dealers and auto makers for not putting a stop to it. I know, weak rant, but still. That is some bullshit! View Quote Yep! And that right there is exactly why I won't be buying one. |

Quoted: Isn't it the dealers doing the gouging when the automakers are telling them to knock it off? View Quote I thought the same thing with Chevy. When the new Corvette was unveiled they said the price would be something like $69,000 and any dealer charging more wouldn't be a Chevy dealer anymore. |

According to the interknots, there are 2415 Dodge dealerships in the US, and they're making 3000 Demons, so it's not a big shock that the ones that can even get them are going to jack up the price.

If you are gonna tell us about a $200k POS dodge OP, at least include a picture of said POS

When the Plaids do 9.2-9.4 over and over and over again with full interior Let's not forget that marketing campaign, "It'S sO fAsT tHe NHRA bAnNeD iT!!!" Because the track officials told the Dodge engineers the car was unsafe as equipped. If they wanted to bring the car back, and if any customers showed up wanting to race one, they had better have a cage and laundry or be shown the gate. |

Missing the point that big engine gas cars are very much still in demand

Imagine even considering paying over 6 figures for a Dodge, that isn't even a Viper
|
|
Would you rather have the opportunity to even buy one at all, for the extra money? Or have it normal cost and have it be unobtanium (unless you know the right people)?
|
|
The real crime here isn't the 2x+ MSRP markup. It's the fact that most of these cars will end up stored as collectibles instead of taken to the track and beat on like they deserve.

You could get a nice Honda and your dick sucked by a supermodel for that kind of money.

Let me fix this for you. Buy a 392 Challenger, have the engine and transmission built, put on turbos or Vortech, and assrape the 170 everywhere. 1000hp is easy as hell to make these days. You could easily have 1500hp that is streetable for less than the initial purchase price of a factory 1000hp car. Its done every day. Hell, buy an SMX engine to swap in and make 4500hp and do drag and drive events. You can get one of those for $100k.

Everybody can charge a premium BUT a car dealer. Especially in GD.

Fuck Dodge.
They should ONLY sell V8 cars/SUV’s and stop the nonsense. They’d sell every one they made. But no, they’re caving to the EPA/EV nonsense. We could still register “track only” vehicles in certain states. |
