While I applaud your standing by your beliefs and values, as the Canadian rock band "Rush" once opined, "If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice". In this day in time, a vote not cast against a demonstrably Marxist left is a vote for said Marxist left. Choose wisely..... He burnt his bridges with me when he openly congratulated Florida Republicans for passing gun control. Voting "lesser evil" every time throughout the years has brought us here. And is taking us where we are going, because it's not going to change. Worth repeating. A vote for lesser chains is still a vote for chains. And not voting is.....what exactly? ETA: And I would lump voting 3rd party or any other "fringe" candidate in with not voting Willingly voting for people who erode the BOR, grow the scope of government and lay chains on your countrymen, makes you complicit in those actions. If people were held responsible for their actions none of the above would be an issue. |

Trump loved the shit out of Kevin McCarthy for a while. 'There's my Kevin': McCarthy emerges as Trump's trusted link to Capitol Hill In booting Cheney, ‘My Kevin’ leads GOP back to Trump That all came to an end when Trump supposedely backed out of a deal he made with Kevin McCarthy. The 2020 clash began when Trump broke an agreement with McCarthy to consult before making endorsements in House races and took sides in a North Carolina primary contest. It is an noticeable pattern with Trump. Everyone is great when they kiss his ring, but when they don't. They're suddenly worse than the Devil. And Politics is a two-way street. Trump as President was not an emperor and he did have to work with Congress. He chose to burn bridges instead of build better ones. Anyways, Trump is a prime example of what is actually wrong with the GOP in of itself. Trump was born in 1946 and came of voting age in 1967 (the 26th Amendment wasn't ratified yet, so I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that he couldn't vote until being 21). Yet, I'm under 40 and I've been a Republican longer than Trump has been. That's the problem.... we have more converts that were squishy middle of the road Democrats than actual Constitutionalists making up the majority of the GOP. The GOP has moved dramatically to the Left over the last two decades since it has accepted so many wayward Democrats with open arms. That hasn't made the GOP more "conservative". Nope, it has made it more Socialist. Just less Socialist than the Democrats have become. You complain about folks like Romney, McCarthy, McConnel, etc.... yet you don't look at the WHY. WHY ARE THEY THE LEADERS OF THE PARTY? Simple.... As the Democrats become the US Communist Party, the Republicans are becoming the US Labour Party since all those wayward Democrats have become Republicans. They aren't changing their voting habits and desires. They've simply changed their party affiliation. You can't. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Pray tell What is your solution for dealing with them? Not a manageable solution. They control the message. They control the narrative. They get people fired. They get people hired. Your losing strategy, don't play at all, is exactly how the media, and the bureaucracy by extention, got this much power and control. Frustration and disappointment, I'd argue, is part of the job. Hiring people that turn out to be rodents is a fact of life in every facet of society, to an even higher degree at the top rung of the government. Lots of turnover is a sign of an unhealthy organization and considering Trump was there for literally 5 months before someone was shitcanned says more about the rat infested org than the newly elected occupant of the white house. |

Quoted: I never said I wanted him to do anything. I'm merely pointing out that he failed to do what people would have hoped or expected him to do if he actually gave a flip about his followers. As for what I think? I believe this entire episode was an ill-conceived public relation stunt. I think he knows that he lost fair and square but absolutely could not admit it because it would have tarnished his brand. I think the people who adored him, who I am at least empathetic towards, showed up to his PR stunt because they believed that they could actually accomplish something because they had been told that they would if they came. I think a leaderless mob then got out of control and I think that the Capital Police responded in a variety of different ways depending on where people where in the capital complex. I think some of them let folks in, while others fought to keep people out. I think there were bad actors in that crowd from both the left and the right that were intent on creating chaos. I think the Capital Police did a horrible job at trying to control that mob. I also think that Trump probably realized pretty quickly that he had completely lost control of the situation and that the rabble were causing harm to his future political aspirations. I think he was looking for some way to balance not pissing off his supporters while containing the damage. I think the thing that made him hesitate as long as he did was trying to figure out that balance. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Wow. The January 6th investigation is illegitimate.
The entire purpose of the investigation is to conduct opposition research against the Democrats’ political opponents, in hopes that it will help them in 2022 and 2024. This is just an extension of the Trump Impeachment. The pushing lies and fabricating evidence as a mean to generate the illusion that there was an “Insurrection.” There was no insurrection. Anyone who uses that word or supports this investigation is in the camp of Pelosi/Cheney. They are driven by a dislike of Trump, and not the truth. |

Fraud, corruption and cheating are fundamentally different in a culture that deplors them vs a culture that embraces them. I.e.: I'm guessing that when wholesale corruption was exposed in the past, voters rejected it. Things are different now. If you got a big gathering of Democrats and Never-Trumpers together and PROVED that fraud hauled Biden's corrupt pedo butt across the finish line, at least ninety percent would cheer for fraud. 'The orange Mussolini had to go; anything that helped to boot him is a good thing.' That's my POV anyway. The culture has moved a long way left since LBJ. |
