I was really hoping to see him switch to the consummate professional for the debate so he could keep going after other PC garbage that the rest won't touch with a 10 foot pole. But the 1st question about oaths to the GOP was a straight up gotcha designed purposely to put Trump on the spot. Look at how Baer reminded him that he was standing in a GOP hall, the very hall where the GOP nominee would be crowned or coronated or whatever they call it. Preaching to him like an asst principal in Jr.high school. After that Megyn hit him right between the eyes with her question and I can see where that immediate combination would sorely try ones patience but I still would have hoped for some restraint toward her especially with the subject of the question. If he's serious about being POTUS, he better demonstrate that he's not a hothead and can't be baited. Who the Hell wants somebody like that dealing with other world powers with our nukes as his "leverage"? |

I hope you're wrong, but sadly I think you may be correct. Kelly should not have been playing gotcha with the candidates, that is the job of the other candidates on the stage. Where her performance as a moderator really went into the shitter was when she decided to argue with the candidates about their responses to the questions. She clearly doesn't have a clue on how to moderate a debate. She should leave those petty games she was playing to people like Candy Crawley from CNN. The only defense one can offer for how she handled herself, is that she wasn't the only one doing it. All the moderators were doing it. It's sad that the moderators took part in debating the candidates. That is my criticism of Fox News and I believe it is a legitimate criticism. Cruz and/or Walker FTW in 2016. |

The manipulation by the mass media that is used to elect the leader of our once great country is appalling and infuriating. What is more appalling and troubling is the 50% of voters that don't see it, or worse, don't care. That is what gave us 8 years of the Manchurian candidate, Barry Soetero. That's why after his second election, I stated here in the huge post election thread that "My country died last night." I studied the rhythm and flow of the debate, not only of the candidates, but the moderators and their questions. I spotted what I felt was a glaring tell of the disingenuousness of the whole process toward the end. It was probably overlooked and missed by most viewers due to it's timing just before an impending commercial break.. Just before going to the last break, Kelly said they would return and the candidates could give a final statement, then she also mentioned some questions about God. Smarmy Chris Wallace could not help himself as he let slip not once, but twice, a simpering, cynical chuckle at the mention of God. |
