'I do have that goal to unite our country'
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson says he has been approached by political parties to run in the next US election. The wrestler-turned-actor has previously discussed the prospect of entering the political arena, and Dwayne has now revealed that he has already been approached by political parties about making a run for the White House. During an appearance on the first episode of the podcast What Now? with Trevor Noah, Dwayne shared: 'At the end of the year in 2022, I got a visit from the parties asking me if I was going to run, and if I could run.' In 2021, a poll revealed that almost half of Americans would support Dwayne if he decided to run for the presidency. The 51-year-old actor - who dressed up as David Beckham for Halloween - has admitted to being flattered by the support, saying that he was 'really honored' by the result of the poll. He said: 'That was an interesting poll that happened and I was really moved by that. I was really blown away and I was really honored.' The Moana actor was shocked by the results of the survey. However, he's refused to reveal which political parties have approached him. The San Andreas actor said: 'It was a big deal, and it came out of the blue. It was one after the other, and they brought up that poll, and they also brought up their own deep-dive research.' Meanwhile, Dwayne previously revealed that he wants to 'unite' America. The Hollywood star suggested in 2021 that he could run for the White House in a bid to bring the country together. Dwayne told Sunday TODAY with Willie Geist: 'I do have that goal to unite our country and I also feel that if this is what the people want, then I will do that.' Despite this, the Fast X star refused to reveal which party he would represent, after a survey from Piplsay - a consumer trends company - found that 46 percent of Americans would consider voting for him. 'It was one after the other, and they brought up that poll, and they also brought up their own deep-dive research that would prove that should I ever go down that road [I'd be a real contender],' Dwayne told Noah. 'It was all very surreal because that's never been my goal. My goal has never been to be in politics. As a matter of fact, there's a lot about politics that I hate.' The Jumanji actor first floated the idea of a possible run in 2017, saying he would '100 per cent consider' launching a presidential bid. If Dwayne decides to throw his hat into the political arena it would be a case of life imitating art. His NBC sitcom, Young Rock, followed his life from childhood through to him running for President of the United States in 2032. Link |

Publicly voted for Biden, therefore he’s dumber than a bag of rocks.
He can slightly redeem himself by curb stomping Trevor Noah however. |

Sad thing is I think he'd win. Elections are a popularity contest nowadays, and he comes across as a very likeable guy to most people.
He would be terrible for the country as he's a leftist and has zero experience in governing...Trump atleast had executive experience running a corporation. The election would be interesting though with all the clips out there of him from his WWF years talking about poontang pie and strudel...there would definitely be some entertaining political ads. |

As bad as it would be for the country, I would love watching a Dwayne Johnson v. Donald Trump presidential race. The debates would be the most amazingly entertaining thing in the history of politics.
|
|
Ehh, why not. The president is just a puppet of the elites that really run the show. Just like wrestling.

And the character's name has shit to do with modern racial obsessions. |
