I want to go, but the show will be tainted for me because of Reed and the Second Amendment. I want to boycott, but my kid is talking about how cool it's going to be. Help me with my dilemma, GD. About 60 years ago, when I was your son's age, my dad gave me my first gun (single shot 22) and told me that there was a whole bunch of people in this country that wants to take it away from me and to never let them do it. Call the show up and tell them that you want a refund.....and if they don't do it there will be some really sharp attorney filing a class action law suit. They have a reputation to maintain going forward. It was there own dumb actions that caused the mass exodus of exhibitors. Everyone should get their money back including the exhibitors. |

Don't get me wrong. Many of them can be dumb as dirt when it comes to our cause. I've been a hunter since I was old enough point a rifle and a owner of many, many EBRs since way before the first ban. We didn't have near the support the first time around from the hunting community that we have now. It sucked. Now, even archery hunters are in support. Our biggest asset is how mainstream the AR has become.
My old as dirt FIL hit me up to help him get his first AR about a week before everything got crazy. If he can be made to see the light almost anyone can. As much as some of the unreachable can irritate you, many are on your side and members here. It's smarter to tap the resource than offend those on our side that happen to hunt too. Maybe we can call them Zumbo's instead so it narrows it down to the segment of hunters that share his f-ed up view.

My son needed a pocket knife so we took a long drive to Cabelas because of this thread. Afterward I called and spoke to a nice lady telling her how much many of us appreciate all they are having to go through these days. I informed her of all I've purchased there the past few years and that we would patronize them as often as possible.
She was very thankful, told me that they received calls from the other side telling how rotten they are. Please, everyone, shop there and let them know how much we appreciate their actions. |

The show was scheduled to take place February 2-10 in Harrisburg, PA.
